It wasn't like he was trying to be up in her business or anything. He had just seen her sitting there and she looked like she could have wanted someone to talk to.
((I have a study hall thread going as well, and you're welcomed to join.))

"It looked more violated than actually having being designed on, from what I see," she commented, lips pursed and tried to turn her plate around to look at it. Of course, they'd been housemates, but she had seldom talked to him, too. From what she could see, he wasn't a typical Gryffindor like most of the other 7th years were, which made him the odd one, not unlike her.
Using the side of her fork, she poked holes around the lump of potato and nodded. "Maybe just a little. You've been here for a while? Sorry I sort of spaced out there."
((Sure! I'll jump in later when I could find time ;)))

She was a nice girl after all. He just wanted to make her feel less lonely, and less bored. No one wanted to feel either of those, especially him. No one deserved it either. He was very much agianst one person being both of them at the same time so he would always try to remedy it, and in hope others would do the same for him, if the occasion came, which it often used to. Now he was only bored. With Astrid being his girlfriend now, he never had to worry about being alone, because all he had to do was think about her, and she was there.

Luckily, the very first time Soren actually did that, he was not at all intimidating, being himself and all. At least this was someone she count on being being predictable in all his unpredictability. However ironic that sounded.
"So... do you have any other classes after this?" It was one of those fool-proof lines, so she thought it couldn't be doing any harm.
