Phillip paid little mind to the weather when Quidditch was at stake. Nothing so small as snow or sleet would keep him off the pitch. Quidditch was what made the day worth getting through, after all. Well, Quidditch and Clover. But Quidditch had been there for him quite a bit longer, so he was in quite an anxious mood as he glanced up at the ceiling in the Great Hall. Bloody hell, he hoped the others would show ( ... )

Jackie grinned as she saw the blurry figures of Phillip and Blaze join her in the snowy sky. She tossed the Quaffle into the sky, and swung her broom around to bat it hard toward Phillip's position. It was one of the only ways to throw the Quaffle to him, as the snow would inevitably slow its velocity and damper its course.

"Agreed!" She yelled back at Blaze. "Though I love the Puffs to death..." -especially one in particular- "This is the Cup we're talking about! We can't afford to lose our first match!"

It would be eerie for the Hufflepuffs to win... if later, it came down to two teams and they had to play against the Slytherins for the Cup. The snakes were brutal, and they would definitely enjoy slaughtering the badgers.

If Soren could read Jackie’s thought then he would have definitely agreed that it would be just plain queer if the Hufflepuffs won the first match. Not, that there was anything against the lot of badgers of course, except for one that he still wanted to punch thanks to Jackie, the lions just spent way too much time with practice to destroy their win streak from their previous years.

He had donned two hooded sweaters, with both hoods up, and a number of undershirts and tees and scarves. He could technically have worn a jacket over everything and be super, snuggly warm but unfortunately, super snuggly warm tended to limit one’s ability to move. Can’t have that happening now! Besides, if this practice proved to be like all the other ones then he’d have his adrenaline worked up and start sweating in no time. Even in the snow (as long as it didn’t start hailing!).

"Good afternoon, kidlings~!"
