Well, Grady might be impatient with him, but Care of Magical Creatures was the one class he made it a point never to miss; a) because he enjoyed the class and valued the material, and b) Kilpatrick was a stone fox. (Also, he knew she was just dying to let him snog her one day, in her heart of hearts. That naughty bird was just in denial.) So really, five o'clock had just rolled around and Sly had just got out of class. School had only recently picked up again after the hubbub of last week, what with classes being cancelled and people being confused and confined to their Common Rooms at odd hours and all ( ... )

It was true, until this year, he had been very determined to keep his grades up. By god, he wanted to be an auror. He even quit quidditch so it wouldn't interfere with his grades. Shame that he didn't realize back then that it wouldn't have. After all, Grady could hardly be bothered to go to class. Except that muggle studies. Gosh, Larae had him twisted around her finger. Something happened this year though, and he didn't care to go to class any longer. He was bored with life - that hardly had anything to do with Sly. Grady's game might have been lagging, but Sly found himself properly distracted by the accusation of snogging Hogwarts girls. He found himself pinned to the floor on his stomach. His face was scrunched into the rug and so his laughter and protests were duly muffled, but he still put up a good struggle. Sly let out a loud yelp, however, when Grady yanked his arm up and backwards toward his head.

"Alright, alright, I give! I give!" he cried, still laughing, "But only because yui're my best mate and I'd hate to have to beat ye senseless." Had to keep his sense of pride, right? He was still giggling, and writhed and wriggled, trying to get his arm out of Grady's strong grip. After much effort, panting for breath, he managed to inch far enough out from beneath his mate and pushed himself up to a sitting position.

"I suppose ye've a point about the resting up bit," he conceded with an impish grin, and waggled his brows. "After all, ye've a lot of work to do if ye want to keep up with my devastatingly good looks." Oh, he was incorrigible. ( ... )

((RIBBON! I can see your fangirlingness has leaked all over that reply! Grady's strong grip?! XD ILU! Watch mine leak all over this post! XP *loves Sly so much more than the other 7th year Gryffs* Notice that I suddenly make him talk with an accent!!! :D))

Grady couldn't help but laugh as he listened to Sly's muffled grunts. That was the sort of thing he liked to hear -- after all, it was the sound of winning. The yelp was simply icing on the cake. He didn't pull Sly's up any higher, not wanting to hurt his friend, but certainly not wanting to let him just go free! What sort of match would that be?

And then the words he wanted to hear (though they were still slightly muffled). 'I give! I give!'. There was nothing sweeter than the sound of success, especially after a wrestling match. He eased his grip on his mate, laughing madly as he watched Sly try to wiggle out of his hold. "Beat me senseless?!" he bellowed happily, giving Sly one last good squash into the ground. "Don't cha ye mean so I don't break off yer arm, eh?" he teased, ( ... )
