Cassidy is not confrontational. She doesn't like attention, doesn't like fights, she'd much prefer to be at the sidelines watching than in the middle of the stage. And that Halloween, in the Ravenclaw Common Room, Cassidy had a strong urge to get out of the noise and go walking someplace. She always trusted her instincts. And so, here she was, absently walking down the long hallway, a book settled comfortably on her arm- it appeared that she had a talent for reading while walking.
But no matter how good she was at reading while walking, she only has two eyes- and therefore couldn't see the person walking towards her. Had she been able to see that person, she quite possibly would've turned around and read-and-walked all the way back to the Ravenclaw common room.
As was said before, she's not a confrontational person.
