"Any thoughts on...?" Armand raised an eyebrow. He had been flipping through a catalogue of potions ingredients and coloured vials. He was interested in a few of them, though he wasn't keen on making any yet.
"Thoughts on the weather? The fireplace? Thoughts on the ridiculous pranks or thoughts on the deaths that they keep talking about lately?" Armand didn't feel anything in particular about the deaths. It had involved two people he wasn't really that well aquainted with, if any. "It's a shame that one was a member of our house. But, as you can see," He waved a hand towards some of the few leftover decorations from Hallowe'en still left up. No one was wearing a mourning black at all and the gossip trains still moved around the older student's soap opera love lives.
If Ana really cared that Romey wasn't as wealthy as either her cousin or herself, she would have told Romey that a long time ago. But seeing as they've been friends for over five years, that particular fault did not matter in Ana's eyes. She only wondered if Romey fidgeted because she was trying to act coy in front of Armand. She did, however, snicker when Romey mentioned someone named Nicholas?
"I believe it was Nicholette DuBois. Sixth year Slytherin." Ana mentioned, and then turned to Armand with the same nonchalant look. "And here I thought I was being rather... crude... in not caring."
She shrugged, and brushed a strand of blond hair off her shoulder. Her eyes glinted mischievously as an idea came to mind. "It would be the perfect time to set any plans into motion... while everyone else is distracted and distraught."
"Was I being crude? Forgive me for not caring about a stranger's death." Perhaps Armand really was being cold about the whole issue, but in either case, this wasn't a girl he cared for. "She was odd anyways, I'm not going to miss her."
He closed the catalogue he was reading and turned to lay down on one of the large pillows in the room instead. "When you say plans, are you talking about what we talked about last week, or has your devious mind thought of something else?" He offered her a side smirk, it definitely was a good time to be playing with people.
Ana poised her hand against her cheek and grinned. "Well... we're going to have to scrap the caretaker idea." She let out a defeated sigh. "Turns out he was an auror. Though why someone would turn from auror to caretaker is beyond me. If we do decide to prank him, we'll have to be more careful... and we'll need an intricate plan."
Her eyes lighted up. "How about instead the Head Girl with... the Head Boy?" She gave a nonchalant shrug as if it wasn't a new idea. "It will definitely give her trouble with her Claw boy, and it'll be easy since the Head Boy is a Puff." She wrinkled her nose. "It's not like he's going to scream bloody murder at us... even if he's smart enough to figure it out."
Armand wrinkled his nose at the word, “He was an Auror? He’s not exactly old too, nor does he look disfigured or disabled. Why would anyone want to be a caretaker?” That man must have been retarded. If he wasn’t mistaken, being an Auror paid thrice the amount that a caretaker did. “maybe he screwed up on the job. So they had to fire him. Or maybe he was involved in some scandal...” Army grinned slowly, “or maybe he killed someone accidentally so they sent him off here. I wonder why...”
He shook his head, thinking about the caretaker would come later. The troubled teenaged life was so much more easy to mess up than an old man. “Oh yeah, we were thinking something along that line before, weren’t we? They both seem to be the nice and quiet type. Wouldn’t raise too much of a fuss...”
Ana nodded, as if another light bulb had lit in her mind. "Maybe we could do some digging... about that. You're right. There has to be a reason. He can't just love Hogwarts so much that he'll take a position as caretaker." Obviously not, because no one in their right mind would, according to Ana's view on the world. "But later... we still have other things to work on..."
Her grin spread slowly across her face. "Yeah... arrange a meeting between the two and take some incriminating photos or something..." She looked thoughtful. "We'll have to send fake owls to other students as well... just so it doesn't look like we're singling out both of them... and to help us cover our tracks."
Ana reached behind the couch, and pulled out the Hogwarts Yearbook. She smiled mischievously at Armand and Romey, and opened it to a random page, laying it on its spine in her hands. "Pick a name... any name..."
Listening to them go on about causing trouble, Romey brightened, even if she had gotten the name of that student wrong. It did seem like the caretaker might be difficult to spread rumors about. "I expect it won't be too hard to dig things up." Apparently, she had missed something, and looking between her friends, it appeared that she would not be finding out exactly what any time soon.
She crawled closer to Ana, peeking into the book. "Arisu Ryusaki," she said definitely, smiling. "My brother told me about her. She is a bottle of shaken pop waiting to be opened." She settled back into her seat, smiling. It seemed that the older students all around the castle cared most about their 'relations' with the other students. That was a good thing too; if not that, how could they cause trouble?!
He pulled out a roll of parchment from his bag and an insta-fill Quill and scribbled down Arisu Ryusaki’s name on the top. "She’s gossipy, I’ve heard. She’d be good for spreading rumours. What about the others? Anyone else too talkative for his or her own good?"
Armand tapped his quill against his chin while he thought. "How about Sascha? Or, uhm, that other seventh year puff girl." He couldn’t remember their names; all he knew was that they were annoying and flighty.
"What else should be listed?" Since they were at it, they could write out the actual letters to send as well. To make the whole deal sound more real.
ooc; I’m dead tired right now so forgive me if I don’t make sense. D:
"I know Kat... that Puff who became editor-in-chief of the Gazette... likes to be in the know. She has a 'nose' for news, I guess the saying goes. And Rae..." Anastacia giggled. "She's the gossip columnist for the paper, so definitely her."
"We could plague Sascha too, although..." She appeared thoughtful, which really wasn't a good thing. "What if we sent around several other fake love notes... and used her as one of the patsies?" She grinned. "Do you think she's gullible enough to believe it?"
"Let's see." Ana played with her fingertips. "We have the OWL from Head Boy to Head Girl, and vice versa. Then, we have 'misdirected' OWLs from those two that just happen to land in the laps of three of the most gossipy girls in the school..." The smirk grew on her face as well. "And then... we have the patsies. We need at least a few of those..."
"How about Sascha with..." She flipped through the yearbook, and landed on a page. "Hara, Akira. 7th Year." She read his info. "Same house."
