Rae was walking around the grounds, letting the fresh air revitalize her. She had barely stepped outside the walls of the school, but it had drastically increased her productivity and socializing, which was always a good thing.

Seeing the Quidditch pitch, she paused for a fleeting moment before heading towards it, wondering if there was a practice going on today. Although she despised the game, it was worth the suffering for the scenic view of the Quiddtich boys.

But sadly, no one seemed to be playing today, and she was about to turn back to her walk when she saw someone. For a second Rae thought it might have been Sajani, or maybe even one of her younger prodigees and headed over to drag them away from this god awful place. As she got closer though, suddenly Rae saw that it wasn't them...and that it was that girl. Wonderful.

"Oh, it's just you," she sniffed looking up at Lexi with a snobbish annoyance.

Gabriel was laying in the center of the feild in an angel formation, looking up at the sky. He had been there for about two hours and realized it was dinner time, yet he wasn't hungry. He loved this field. Playing Quidditch, ever since he began to play, somehow made him whole. He relaxed him.

He thought that also could have been the thought of sweet fruit rolling down his throat. Oh who was he kidding? He was starving, and yet he didn't want to get up. He heard a voice in the stands. He didn't even know anyone else was there. Gabriel knew it was a feminine voice, but was the person in question speaking to him?

Gabriel sat up and looked into the stands. He noticed two girls there, one a Gryffindor, and the other a Slytherin. He wasn't meaning to eavesdrop; it was just that he was caught off-gaurd by the voice that had now turned to silence. He figured it was the voice of the Slytherin, considering the harshness of what was said.

Lexi stayed in her silent trance for what seems like a while until she heard slight creeking in the wooden stands and her practical self came back into play. Turning to her left, she had to hold back a slight groan as she took in Rae Burton. Her rival for the past six years, and a Slytherin, no less. Quickly gaining as much composure as possible, she took a deep breath and gave her a quick slight smile. "Lovely to see you as well, Deborah." Of course, Lexi knew very well that she preferred to be called Rae. Her lip quirked slightly in a tiny smirk.

Twisting her neck back to stare straight over the stands, she happened upon yet another body among the pitch, what seemed to be a male. She wasn't able to make out the House robes but she looked over, squinting slightly. Lexi didn't suppose she knew him or else he would have come over sooner.

Rae frowned as Lexi used her given name. It was vile, being the name of her birth father's grandmother, and she hated the association between the two. Lifting her chin, she laid a hand delicately on a side of the wooden stands and shifted the weight, so her hips took the brunt of the force.

"Imagine seeing you here with..." She looked around and gave a fake smile of pity, "No one? Such a shame. Who would of thought that you would have no friends." Her eyebrows raised tauntingly, as she focused on Lexi, not having seen the other person on the pitch.

Gabriel jumped up to his feet as he had noticed that he was spotted, caught by the Gryffindor girl, and ran off the field so he couldn't be seen again. He pressed his back against the wall, and breathed hard to catch his breath. He remained there for several moments. He thought maybe he should stick around in case things got out of hand between the two girls, because they didn't sound so friendly to each other.

He pulled himself off the wall and quietly went up the steps to the stands. Gabriel remained low, ready, and quiet. He watched and listened to the girls. His breathing was just barely able to be heard if someone was really paying attention to it, but it was getting quieter because he was calming down now.

Lexi knew this conversation wasn't going to get any better, so she really made no attempt to smooth things over. This was Rae, a typical Slytherin elitist, and even on regular days when she had no liking for them, today was even worse. With her current mood, she felt more like getting her wand out and dueling with whomever ticked her off. Odd how her true stubborn Gryffindor-ish side always showed the best when she was angry.

"How funny, I was about to say the same thing about you." She turned with a tired expression to the Slytherin after watching the unknown student out on the pitch leave. She gave her a rather fake smile right back to her before letting out a rugged sigh.

"How clever you are with words," Rae rolled her eyes while looking at Lexi. "Too bad yours just never seem to be original. Of course," she took her hand off of the wood and absentmindedly brushed it off, feigning indifference in one shrug of her shoulders. "One must expect that from you people."

Gabriel still watching from afar. He listened in on what was going on. His breathing had normalized so it was harder for him to be noticed now.

Turning once more to glance to the Slytherin, Lexi spoke with a slight drawl. "Oh, but you make it just so easy." After speaking she wrapped her cloak around her tighter as she wind picked up, blowing some hair in front of her eyes. She then realized what she was saying; how rude she was acting towards Rae. Wasn't exactly like they were anything like friends, but Lexi couldn't help feeling a bit bad. Letting out a soft sigh, she shivered a bit and just went back to staring out onto the pitch, trying her hardest not to cry. Especially in front of this Slytherin.

Rae let out a hauty sniff as Lexi turned away, this girl was simply stepping out of her place, like so many seemed to do these days. Really, they should know by now that they were inferior...especially Gryffindors.

Well they certainly weren't worthy of her company, especially with the vicious wind. Imagine a perfectly good walk destroyed by this, unexceptable.

Turning around, she flung her hair behind her and decended the wooden stairs, at least until she saw him.

"What are you doing here?" Really, couldn't some people learn to mind their own business?

BUSTED! Gabriel was caught once the Slytherin had turned around. He tried to make up an excuse "Um.. well I was.. um.." He glanced to the Gryffindor sitting there. He felt a little guilty that he came up there to listen, but he only wanted to help.

Lexi couldn't help but let out a sigh as Rae decidedly turned and walked away from her. Clearly she wasn't impressed with her choice of words, but Lexi was not going to let a Slytherin walk all over her. Rae also needed to find her place, she thought in silence as she rolled her eyes slightly.

A few moments passed where only the brisk howl of the wind was heard, until Lexi heard Rae's voice speak again, this time from further down the pitch. Turning her head, she followed the sound and came upon her glaring at that same Ravenclaw from earlier. Who the bloody heck was this kid? Watching as he looked over to herself, she gave a slight smile.
