"Are you crazy?" Jackie widened her eyes. Wait. Scratch that. Everyone already knew Charlie was. "I'm already wet from the drizzle. I don't need to jump in for more water."

She sighed and fell backwards onto the sand. The drizzle let up a little, so it didn't tickle as much, but the sky was still dark and she couldn't see many stars. "Why don't you and Grady jump in?" She smiled and turned onto her side. "I'm sure you two would enjoy it more than me."

"But it'll be fun~" Charlie wheedled, eying the water which looked very cold but very tempting at the same time. Curiosity killed the cat. "Will you pay me if I jump?" She asked, turning around and looking at Jackie. Oooh please say yes! I want some reward for freezing my nads off. Which I'm going to do anyways because I want to know how cold it REALLY is!

"Pfft, Grady's a pansy. Doesn't like swimming. Silly bloke." She said, rolling her eyes at that comment. She didn't get how someone wouldn't like swimming- it was so much fun! ...Where was Grady anyways? Silly boy.

"Fun?" Jackie grinned, and sat up. "Well, if I pay you to go in and you pay me to go in, how about we jump in together?"

She laughed at Charlie's complaint about her boyfriend. They hadn't been together for more than a week, and she was calling him a pansy? Well, Charlie did show her love in different ways. Jackie was used to that by now.

"He doesn't know what he's missing." She winked, and stood up. "Ready?"

"Okay!!" Now had a reason so she would feel less stupid about his afterwords. That was always a good thing. So what if they didn't have bathing suits or towels and it was sodding freezing? THAT DIDN'T MATTER IN CHARLIE-LAND!

Throwing her cloak to the ground, she struck a dramatic pose, thanked god that she wasn't wearing a white shirt, and began to sprint to the edge of the lake. It was probably a good thing the lake dropped off sharply at this point- seeing as Charlie was already in mid-dive and it would be quite the tragedy if she had smashed her head into the bottom.

Holy bloody buggering sodding shite! It was COLD. But, being an evil friend, she was not going to let Jackie know that. Stifling a yelp, she popped her head out of the water and grinned. "Feels great! Com'on in!" Nooo her teeth weren't chattering. Whatever were you talking about?
