Though 8 o'clock was unspeakably early for Laura, to Sebastian it was more like sleeping in. He'd gotten up at around dawn, nearly fallen out of bed and over Jory's forgotten textbooks, and spent the rest of the day studying.

Or, attempting to study. Doing a very convincing impression that involved staring at pages for lengthy periods of time. He was getting quite good at it. The staring... not the studying. Ngh.

Of course, every study imitator needed sustenance on occasion, which is why he found himself leaving the Great Hall after providing himself with lunch. Perhaps food would help. Clear the brain. Right.

...Or apparently not, he thought as his absentminded shuffling resulted in him tumbling over someone's not so well placed legs. Righting himself quickly, he turned to see. Ah, Lauren. The Gryff he and Will had spent a very confusing number of minutes lodged in some Trophy Room cavern with. He waved slightly at her and gave her a mumbled, "Ah, hello."

Lauren had just shut her eyes, telling herself she'd 'rest' them for only a few minutes, when someone practically went falling on top of them! Er. Right. Mental note -- maybe it wasn't the smartest idea to have ones legs sprawled out in the middle of a very busy hallway.

Once her eyes were opened and readjusted to the light, she looked up at him as he stood, a warm smile taking over her features as she noticed who it was. That wonderfully awkward bloke Sebby who she didn't spend nearly enough time with! What luck, eh?

"Hello, yourself," She bit her lip through the smile, patting the bench beside her for him to take a seat, "Care to join me? I mean... it's the least you could do after tripping over me like that."

Er... pretending to study or sitting outside the Great Hall being desperately awkward with a Gryffindor? Honestly, Sebastian'd choose the pretending to study, but any sort of plausible excuses had run flitting from his brain. And as such, all that could be said was...

"Alright?"

He tooks his books and placed them a good foot away from Lauren, sat down next to them, edged one over to align with the one below it, and looked back at the girl.

"Er, sorry for the legs and the tripping. I really am more graceful than that. Or, you know, most of the time I manage to stay upright," he grinned slightly and scratched the back of his neck.

Wow. So he actually decided to stay, huh? Well, Lauren couldn't deny the fact that she was startled. He seemed like the sort that would run away as fast as he could at the mere sight of her. Which, mind you, she got that reaction a lot with his type, so it wouldn't have hurt her feelings or anything. But he didn't... so she was pleasantly surprised!

Turning to face him fully, Lauren brought her legs up to the bench to cross and sit under. Might as well get comfortable, eh? They had loads to catch up on. She watched Sebby silently as he sat, arranging his books just so. Interesting

Laughing, she waved her hand to dismiss his bit of clumsyness, "Nah, I don't mind. Didn't break a bone or anything, so I suppose I can forgive you. But next time?" Her expression turned mockingly serious, "I may just have to kill you." She winked before another smile crossed her face.
