Shihoko had been spending a lot of time just sitting in different parts of the school, or locked away in empty class rooms with a charmed piano or harp to dance to. Everything seemed to matter less and less to her and people had been straying away from her, as she did from them. The only person she still spoke to was Lexi. And, even though she didn't want to admit it, she missed Will.

On this particular day she was leaving an empty class room on the fifth floor. Her ballet shoes made her footsteps nothing but soft thuds against the cold stone floor. Her eyes were glued to the windows and she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going. Dressed in a pair of grey sweat pants and a white tank top, despite the colder weather, she made her way in no direction what-so-ever.

Despite his absently wandering thoughts, to match his wandering mood, it was fairly easy to note when someone else was occupying the same hallway space. The movement in front of him caught his eye, and he turned to focus on the approaching figure...only to feel the bottom of his stomach drop out.

"Shihoko."

It was softly spoken, almost a mental note that only just managed to slip past his lips. He hadn't even realized he said it, truth be told, as Shihoko's sudden appearance had more than startled him. The girl had practically gone missing for ages, now, and he was almost afraid of looking for her, because he HATED seeing girls behaving miserable, and especially girls that he liked. Then HE felt miserable and was rubbish with cheering them up and ( ... )

Shihoko had taken her gaze from the window and allowed it to fall on the familliar form before her. It felt like a phantom hand had pulled her breath from her chest as it fell from her lips and she couldn't inhale. Seeing him so suddenly had taken her breath away and she remembered how much she'd missed him. But...

did he still like her? Probably not. She inhaled slowly and watched as he stood there stock still. What could he possibly have to say to her anyway? She'd practically dropped off the face of the planet!

Shihoko stared at her feet for a moment and then looked up at Will. "Hello Will," she said softly and gave a quick smile.

He swallowed hard, slowly pulling a shaky smile onto his own face, a practiced smile for just such occassions, when really, he couldn't feel less like smiling.

"Wow, actually got a hello. My day's that much brighter," he teased lightly, before tucking his hands into his pockets and moving a little closer to her. Far too late to run away and hide, now...and it was only a small fraction of him, now, that really wanted to. He DID want to be there...he wanted to prove that he was useful for something, anything...yet everytime he tried to think of something that could help, he came up blank.

"Dance practice?" he continued, glancing down at her shoes and tugging his smile a bit wider. "I'm sorry I missed it."
