Week Name/Date/Time: 'Books Of Mystery' / Tuesday, October 18th, 2005 / 7:00P.M Location: Hufflepuff Commons Open To: Akira *smirk* Currently Involving: Sascha
Yes, in came said Akira Hara, books in tow and smile in place. After his chat with Cyrus, the boy had opted to skip the whole Doyarchu gathering idea and instead head to the library to catch up with the books. Who knew what Snape would give them the next day? While Potions was never one of his worst subjects, with Snape being the professor, it had never been one of his better ones either.
He sighed. But that was enough thinking about Potions, he was back in his common room and back in the company of friends.
In fact, one Sascha Kuen was right there in the armchair.
"Good evening, Sascha. I'm surprised to find you here sitting all alone. No games or fun tonight?"
Sascha smiled up at the boy. Dreamy. Yes...er...back to the topic. Yes. Silly Sascha.
"Good evening yourself, Akira. Sadly, no. I'm bored stiff, to be exact." Bloody bored stiff. It was not the Sascha Kuen lifestyle.
She yawned once more and streched out. She eyed his books and tsked. "Cutting out on studying, Akira? That's not good, you know." Course, it was good for her. Just, not so much with him. "Even more so with your NEWTs coming up this year and all." She winked at him, to let him know that she was just playing.
Akira grinned and plopped himself down on one of the couches as well, dropping his text onto the leg tables not at all gently. It had seen through worst days and Akira had gotten the book from a graduated friend. Why buy when you could always share was the Puff way of doing things.
"Bored stiff, eh?" He reached over and poked her on the leg. "Not that stiff to me. Perhaps you're tired instead." He noted her yawn. Since the weather had been so gloomy lately, it was natural that everyone would be feeling rather lethargic and bored.
"And I have no idea what you're talking about!" He whistled and looked away, anywhere but the book. "I'll graduate and do something completely non-related to Potions. I think I can handle my NEWTs like that."
Sascha giggled. So much for caring for studies. If he treated his books like that, he couldn't care all that much, could he?
She scofted. "Oh, really, Akira. You're one smart cookie, ay?" She giggled as he poked her. "Bored tired? Well now, that's a new one to me." She tried to give him her best blank look, but for some reason it didn't work, and she broke into a grin. "Nah, just need some excitement is all."
"Aha! So you aren't going to do anything with potions, ay?" She giggled. "So, what exactly are you going to do?" She nodded at him. "And very nice view on NEWTs. Maybe I should take that with my OWLs next year."
"Oh yes, one smart cookie it is." Akira laughed and snuggled himself into the cushions of the couch and made himself comfortable. He kicked back and rested his feet ontop of the coffee table as well.
"What kind of excitement are you looking for anyways?" He looked at her curiously, technically dinner had just finished - which meant he had missed it, damn.
As for his future? Akira had no idea what he wanted to do after Hogwarts, though he supposed he might continue to do something magical, since it was fun. And the fact that he didn't have muggle high school under his belt nor would he be able to get into university now might make problems persuing a career in the muggle world. "Hmm... good question. I have no idea."
Sascha laughed and nodded. Not only a smart cookie, but a rather delicious one at that. She gazed at him as he made himself comfortable. "Comfy, much?"
She yawned and stretched out. "Oh, you know me, anything to break the bordem of the mundane lives we tend to slip into all too often."
Sascha gazed at him. He was a seventh year, and he had no plans? Egads! That wasn't good. "But, Akira. This is your last year here. You mean you've no idea, what so ever?"
"Very comfy." Akira agreed, throwing both arms behind his head to show just how comfortable. "I bet we have the softest couches out of the four houses, you just sink right in here.
"Heeh, mundane can be fine sometimes." Akira liked it when things were calm, in fact, he really liked just chilling out and relaxing on most days. "Sitting on the couch, relaxing by the fireplace with nothing more to worry about," he closed his eyes, "It sounds just perfect."
See, worrying about what plans after school was always stressing and therefore, the the worst things to do when you're relaxing. "I s'pose I could run my dad's clockwork shop. That or persue something related to Magical Creatures since I'm good with them. No real academic prerequisites for those so I'm not too worried."
Sascha giggled. "Yes, we probably do. Simply because, well, us Hufflepuff's are the kindest and the softest, so it makes sense for us to have the most comfy couches and all." She nodded, and threw her fet up on one of the foot stools.
"Yes, I supose. Like right now? I'm very relaxed and comfortable." She looked around the common room, and then settled back on Akira. "Yeah, perfect." Sunny smile here.
Yes, subject change time! "Yes, that's true." She yawned, and stretched out. "Today feels like a very lazy day, though, really. I don't really want to do anything exciting. I'm very content right now." She nodded and rested her head on her fist.
Akira laughed at that logic. "Hmm, true enough. Most comfy for the most pleasant bunch of them all. I hear there are even sayings that go 'huggle a puffle a day and many a luck will come your way.' Or something like that." Shame that most of the Slytherins didn't follow the same sentiment. They were still thought of as the load of 'duffers probably. Boo.
Akira glanced at her and grinned, "See, I knew you'd agree!"
It had been a lazy day, Akira had to agree. But he liked lazy. "Heheh, changing your mind already? Weren't you looking for some excitement not too long ago?"
Sascha laughed right along with him. Then she stopped and looked at him. She'd never heard that before, but then again, she had just been here for four years. "Reall? I've never heard of that. It's absolute brilliance, that is." And the giggles again.
She waved her hand at him. "But of course!"
"Yes, I was, but this is nice. There is a time for everything. This isn't an excitement time I guess."
