Whereas some people actually ENJOYED visiting the library, much like our young Mister Sparrow here, absently glancing around at the bookshelves as he walked towards the back, searching for a comfortable nook to settle with his book.

Now, no mistake, Will was no straight-A student, nor was he one you'd immediately mark as being very 'bookish'. However, when it came to subjects he LIKED...well, that was another matter entirely. He made for a decently avid reader, particularly on the matters of history. And that's precisely what he was up to now, reading ahead in their textbook and, not having Seb around for REASONS UKNOWN, he would settle for having a quiet corner to enjoy his book.

He turned the corner afforded by a particularly thick bookcase, book under his crooked arm, when his eyes flickered towards a crouched figure nearly hiding behind his book. In Will's experiance, there were only very good reasons for hiding, or very interesting ones, and it provoked his curiousity to the point that he actually craned his neck around to see ( ... )

Trent heard the shuffling, oh yes he did. There was no mistaking that particular shuffling (even though it wasn't actually shuffling, Trent just liked to attribute William Sparrow with shuffling) and now, Trent was angry. How dare he disturb his schoolwork time with his...Sparrow-ness?! And even though that didn't really make any sense, he had already made up his mind to lob his book at the first person that passed and Trent was never one to go back on his word.

"SPARROW!" he yelled, closing the book with a snap and launching it at the other boy, while secretly hoping that this wouldn't get him banned from the libary. Now that would really do damage to his reputation.

Oip. Hadn't made it out quite fast enough.

It was almost instinct, to duck his head at the call of his name, and he turned just in time to see the book hurtling towards him. Already cowed down a certain degree, he promptly let out a 'gack!' sort of noise and threw himself to the side, arms coming up to cover his head, as the book went sailing just past his ear and thumped against the bookshelf. A few of the shelved tomes wailed and rattled in protest at the show of sudden violence.

Pince wasn't going to like that, not one bit...and she better not blame HIM for it! Not his fault! He was nothing more than an almost-innocent bystander! In this instance, in fact, he was as close to innocent as he ever got, not having actually DONE anything.

Yet.

"I'm sorry! Whatever it is I did, I take it back!" he whined pitiously, slowly lowering his arms to peer at the other, but ready to run like a scared forest elf.

Just in case.

Trent laughed out loud and clapped his hands together--yes, he was in fact highfiving himself. Well, there was no one else around to high five, now was there? It seemed like a perfectly normal thing to do. "You...you existed!" Trent said, feeling quite satisfied with his answer. He leaned back in his chair and propped his feet up on the table, spilling an inkwell onto his schoolwork in the process.

"Look at what you did!" he said, standing up and knocking the chair over. "It's ruined!!" Wow, this was just too easy now wasn't it? Trent stormed over to William where he stood by the bookshelves and settled for glaring at him, for the time being.
