One hundred and thirty-four. One hundred and thirty-five. Counting steps to the owlery by starting at a random spot was not helping, much to Jackie's irritation. Why did she let Liesl get to her? She already knew the Slytherin didn't like her since they first met back in the Hospital wing three years ago, when Jackie objected to Liesl's advice (if she could call it that) for her sprained ankle. She would have thought - or at least, hoped - that Liesl would have changed, and maybe become a bit more pleasant... but she hadn't. Liesl was still aggravating, never missing the opportunity to belittle her whenever their opinions collided, as if there wasn't enough room at Hogwarts for the both of them.
With her fists clenched at her sides and her gaze directed downwards in a scowl, Jackie marched up the rest of the steps, not paying attention to the person exiting the owlery at the same time.
