Jeannie was unusually hungry today. Probably because she had just returned from Study Hall and working on a Herbology project with some-plant-or-other, and a period of that usually tired her out. But Jeannie didn't get tired, until nighttime, that is, so instead she just got hungry.
She had gotten squirted in the face with something, again. For the fifty buhzillionth time. How many times could you get plant gunk on your face in six weeks?! Or yuck, she amended, looking down at her slightly off-color hand from Monday's lake adventure. Nobody had noticed, though. Yet.
So now a little poem of different foods was running through her mind, making her even hungrier. She sat down on the nearest sofa to the door outside, and waited. Dinner started at six, and they could come down about fifteen to thirty minutes early- okay, only twenty-eight minutes to wait.
