Julian was rather unsure about how that day had gone. He did do exactly what that bloody book told him to, but the whole situation made him uneasy. Plus, Herbology just wasn't quite as fun as it usually was - he spent most of the class helping the other students because he had already mastered that skill ages ago. One would've thought that this would pump up his pride, but no, it just made his interest sag.

Slowly moving down the stairs, Julian rubbed his bare arms sadly. It was cold, but it would take so much energy to heave himself back up the stairs to put a sweater on. Plus, if he went up there, he might end up lying down again, and not getting back up until morning. Sighing loudly, Julian finally made it to the landing, half expecting a quiet common room. Much to his surprised, Tyra had just thrown that foolish book at the table and was looking frustrated. It was causing her problems too?

Walking over as lazily as he had descended the stairs, Julian placed a hand on her arm, before slowly finding a seat on the couch. "Tyra," he greeted quietly, meaning it to be more of a question than anything. The tone of his voice, however, just wasn't fitting, and he decided to be more direct. Ah, hadn't he spent all morning trying to be direct. If only it was this easy. "What's wrong?"

As Tyra was resentfully glaring at the book, she jumped a bit as Julian touched her arm. Ty was actually thinking pretty hard about what she had wrote in the book, and the little remark it blurted back at her.

"Oh, hello." Tyra pushed her bag off the couch clearing a spot for him, and now started watching him sit down.

"That bloody book, that's what's wrong! I pick the thing up, read the little inscription, and go and try it out. And what do I get in return? An upsetting little remark back!"

It really did upset her, what the book had said. Tyra had concentrated too long on friends and her studies, that if she didn't find something else to muse herself she was going to go completely off her rocker!

Julian felt a little too tired for the amount of energy she had. In fact, in response to her rant, his face scrunched up and just hoped it would be over soon. That book was annoying, apparently more so to her than him.

"It is a little sarcastic," he mentioned quietly, thinking over the response that he had been given. Julian shrugged, not knowing what else to say. "It's really just a book, no reason to listen to it." He wasn't exactly sure why he had, but the fact of the matter what that he had. And now he had to deal with the consequences. Something told him he'd be seeing a lot more of Helga, considering she was probably the only girl that didn't come with strings attached.

Julian rubbed his head, yawning. Even if someone talking as much as she had overwhelmed him, he knew it would've been polite to ask if she wanted to talk about what it had written. "If you don't mind me asking, what did it say that was so horrible?"

"Not so much sarcastic, as displeasing." Tyra was actually ready to rip the book to shreads right about now because she had been thinking about what it had said to her now. "I know, but still. It's a book, and books here at Hogwarts mean something. Especially to me!"

Books and school practically ruled her life now, and Tyra was ready for a change! She wanted some love in her life just like everyone else her age had...except Dustin, Letty, and her. It just wasn't fair, and she wanted to be seeing Cupid by Valentine's Day!

"It wasn't really horrible. I just didn't expect a book to say that." Tyra really didn't feel like repeating what the book had said to her, but she was an easy push-over, hence being placed in Hufflepuff, and hastily grabbed the book. She flipped to the page she had written on, with her words gone and the books words still lingering. "It said to me, 'Ah, but you are so young, my child. I believe that for now, concentration should be on friends and studies, and love will find you when the time is right.' Take a wild guess at what I was curious about."

Julian wasn't exactly the person she wanted to be talking to about love, but hey, Letty wasn't here and she was just a tad upset.

Julian nodded to let Tyra know that he was listening. Displeasing? Well that wasn't a word that everyone used every day, now was it? He expected what ever happened musn't have been very good at all to make her use a word like that. Most of the time, people just said it was a sodding pile of bull, but displeasing intrigued him.

So Tyra was looking for love? That wasn't too far off his problem, though his had already been at least kind of sorted out. Anyway, it hadn't left him in a huff. "I suppose it does have a point." Thinking of her previous rant, Julian added quickly, "Though I don't really believe it. I don't think you can ever be too young for love, as long as you can think. But if you're out hunting for something, how can it ever find you?" His words of wisdom were hardly that, and he slumped down, taking up the entire couch. Sorry wee firsties who thought that they might have a chance to sit on the furniture, big bad Julian was taking up the whole couch.

Great, now he was siding with the book! Just like a guy to do. "Good thing you didn't, or I was about to leave right then and there!" 'Twas true; that was really the last thing Ty needed: a guy siding with a ruddy book!

Tyra listened as Julian gave a weird little speach to her. "Um...ok? The same bloody way! Why does it always have to be me to sit about waiting? Huh? How come I can't just go in search of love for once? I've spent 5 bloody years without even coming close to a relationship with a guy! I'm a bit tired of it!"

Feeling as though she was about to set the whole place on fire, that's how angry she was, Tyra stared out the window in hope that maybe she really could find love. I mean, look at everyone else! Practically every one that was a 4th year or older had already had atleast one boyfriend or girlfriend, and it just wasn't fair. The only other people that seemed to not have done so were Letty and Dustin!

Julian was a little worried, it wouldn't be good if she went off and yelled at him. He'd never had a row with any of his mates, and he wasn't looking to start now. Actually, he was shooting for getting out of Hogswarts without any fights. "Five years?" Julian questioned curiously, thinking that he might possibly be mistaken in thinking that Tyra was only 15. "That's an awfully long time, you know." He had only started being really interested in girls this year anyway; she had been looking at boys since she was ten. This made Julian wonder if that was possibly why he blushed so bloody much.

"Relationships are just trouble anyway," Julian said callously, possibly a little bitter with the whole situation. He had barely snogged anyone and she was looking for love. Weren't most relationships at this age just flings anyway?

"Well not quite 5 years, but you get the gist, right?" Boys were hopeless. No matter how you tried to explain something to them they never really quite understand what you're trying to tell them. "Yes, I know, but it's only going to get longer if I don't find it!" Tyra threw her hands up in frustration. It wasn't really true that she had really looked at boys since she was 10. Maybe 11 because of all the cute guys at Hogwarts that were always older than her, but she knew she could never date any of them.

"Oh really? Well then, I guess I'm just looking for trouble which I really don't mind right about now." Tyra's life at Hogwarts was starting to bore her and she wanted some action like everyone else was getting. It just wasn't fair, especially with Tyra.

No matter what anyone told Tyra not having love in her life just wasn't an option. She wanted it, and right about now was hoping she'd get it! Sure, everyone has all these little 'flings' and 'snog-fests' but that's not what Ty wanted. She wanted a guy who could understand her and who she could compare herself to, just like her equal. Someone who she could talk to about her crumby days, or her acheivements and wouldn't mind, was all she wanted. Just someone who would treat her right, and at this point it was hopeless.

Julian shrugged. He didn't really have a lot to say to her; she seemed rather frustrated wit him. It surprised him that more people weren't angry at him much more often - he thought he was a rather frustrating person indeed.

He shrugged. If that was what she thought she was looking for, then who was he to stop her? Julian rubbed the back of his neck, examining his finger nails. "I think that if you were meant to have someone right now, then you would."

What had happened earlier that day made Julian a little unsure of himself, not that he wasn't normally. Just, Lexi was seem even more nervous about the situation than he was. Shaking the feeling off, Julian sighed. "Don't you think that maybe you shouldn't be so work up." He was just so tired, and her energy was still bothering him.

Great, that was basically just what the book told her. Ah well, it didn't really matter what he thought. Afterall, he was a guy and probably didn't understand where she was coming from.

"I guess you're right," Tyra said giving a triumphant sigh, staring into the fire. "I guess I'll just have to wait." Calming down, Tyra looked back at Julian hopefully.

"What about you? Why doesn't everyone else having love get your feathers a tad ruffled? Unless you already do?" Tyra hadn't really talked with Julian in a little bit, so it could really be possible that he was holding out on her a bit.
