Juhi gasped. "That's right! You DID watch me patrol! I can't believe you did that. That was a little strange of you." Right. A little. A little strange, and a little creepy? "It wasn't so much WATCHING as it was STALKING." She smirked at him. "Were you that desperate to see me, then, hmmmmm?"

Juhi wondered where the auror they had met that day was. Riane had seemed...nice. And Juhi had found her presence CALMING. She seemed so capable and trustworthy.

"Anyway, I don't know why I'm complaining, really. Patrols haven't even been that bad, except for when we caught Fi and she wouldn't just stop lying and go away. And yeah, of course." She poked. "You want me to be prefect. I'm serious, you know! Between you and Letty I might not be allowed next year!" She dropped his hand and giggled. "It'd be worth it though, really."

Then she leaned foward and turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow. "You've NEVER bored anyone? Are you sure? Oh...wait, wait, I guess you're right. People finding you tiresome wouldn't be exactly the same as them finding you boring." Hee!

"Oh, it was definitely stalking. I even said so, you obviously don't listen," Erik responded, poking her in the side.

His logic at the time had been he could stalk his own girlfriend without it being too strange. Plus, he'd been bored. Not to mention he proved that she needed to be more aware as a prefect! Honestly.

"Fi McFinn doesn't back down. I'm not surprised she kept lying, even if it was an obvious fib. No harm done, yeah? It's only the real trouble makers, evil doers you have to worry about," Erik stated and took a deep breath.

Technically, they were already taking advantage of her prefectness by being out after curfew, but he didn't point this out.

"Hilarious," he said simply, rolling his eyes at her joke. Yeah, yeah. Make fun. She knew he was right!

Though, he probably was a bit tiresome.

"I know you said so at the TIME, but just now you tried to call it watching. Rewriting history, as it were. You would have left it at that too, if I hadn't said anything, Skippy." She wrinkled her nose at him in response to the poke. He'd probably just been bored anyway.

Juhi raised her eyebrows at his deep breath, and resisted the urge to grab his hand again. "No harm done, no. But that was before I knew people actually got hurt wandering the castle alone; it'd probably be different, now." She was silent for a moment, and then allowed herself a small smile. "And I think Sebby may never recover from having to take points from someone, so I guess if that counts as harm..."

Oh, fantastic. Juhi chewed the inside of her cheek. If he wasn't going to fight back was she supposed to feel weird about teasing him? Maybe that had been a pathetic 'joke' in the first place. That was probably it, right? Hit too close to home? She would have rolled her eyes at herself, if that wouldn't have looked completely insane.

Erik chuckled. That Sebastian fellow was one odd bloke, but Erik rather liked him. He wondered if he still lived in the library, seducing Madam Pince. Oh no! Wait, Juhi had said....

"Sebastian! I liked him! What's all this about him snogging?" Erik asked her, remembering what she had mentioned before.

Maybe it was a bit rude, but he couldn't imagine anyone really... it was Just that Sebby was a tad... well, the whole thing sounded awkward. It was hard enough getting together with Juhi when they were a perfect match. He couldn't imagine the difficulty that must have come with THAT.

"I think people only get tired of me when they're not smart enough to keep up with my brilliance. Only reason I can think of, truly..."

Well, he wasn't going to REALLY let that comment go without a word.

Juhi's eyes widened in surprised. "ERIK! Shhhhh!" She looked around furtively. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said loudly, for good measure. The she put her mouth against his ear again. "I whispered that for a reason, silly Skippy." She tilted her head a little, the easier to access his ear, and shifted to get more comfortable.

"I don't really know any DETAILS, I mean, it is still Sebby. But apparently," she paused dramatically, and hoped he would appreciate it, "there were house elves present at the time. And something about a spoon." She hesitated. Erik wouldn't SAY anything, would he? "Don't ask Sebby about it, though. He'll never speak to me again." Having explained the situation a little further, she took the opportunity to blow on his ear. It was right there, after all.

Aha. He wasn't going to let the comment on being tiresome go, after all. Juhi grinned at him, and looked expectant. "Mmmmhmmnn, brilliant." She agreed. "You have a truly natural and brilliant flair for the dramatic." She flung the back of her hand up against her forehead, and peeked at him from the corner of her eye.

Erik had never really thought about how much he enjoyed his ears until Juhi whispered into one. His weren't too big or too small or too deformed. They were normal sized, and clean, and perfect for listening.

Apparently, he thought about odd things like that when Juhi was so close his nerves were dancing. However; what she had said? That beat everything he had been thinking in terms of STRANGE. HOUSE ELVES!? Who snogged in front of house elves? Erik couldn't imagine Sebastian, of all people, managing to pull that off!

"I am SO asking Daisy if she saw it happen! It is too hard to believe without some sort of witness to the event," Erik said in disbelief and began to laugh.

He was a little envious, in a nutty sort of way. Broom display was awkward, but house elves? That won, hands down, for most awkward kiss ever.

He didn't even argue about his being dramatic. Instead, he picked her up (she seemed lighter every time he did so) and dipped her down into a quick kiss.

No one ever said dramatic was a bad thing.

Juhi stopped blowing in Erik's ear abruptly. Asking Daisy? Oh wait. "Daisy is that one elf you know, right? She messes up your bed for you, or something like that?" She elbowed him lightly in the side. She wasn't sure if that was actually the case, but she remember him mentioning that, and remembered that Daisy was an elf he knew. Close enough.

She couldn't help laughing with him about Sebby and the elves, though she felt a little bad. "I know, it is kinda hard to believe, but if you knew the girl that would make it easier." She grinned. "They're cute. They've been friends for a while too, like us. AND they had a weird first kiss. Huh." She added quickly, "Not that I didn't appreciate ours, mind. I'm glad there were no people there staring at us, though."

Then she cleared her throat. "Zonko doesn't count, obviously."

She squeaked when Erik picked her up and wrapped her arms around his neck. This was definitely the sort of 'dramatic' she appreciated, except she was so preoccupied with being surprised that she basically missed the kiss.

Even though the dip and kiss were finished, Juhi left her arms where they were. Silly, she told herself. It was silly to be nervous. She hadn't even been all that nervous on their date, considering it had been ERIK and she probably should have been terrified. He was now her BOYFRIEND, he obviously fancied her, and they had kissed multiple times.

But she had never initiated, and she wanted to, and for some reason it made her very nervous. She leaned toward him and then hesitated, shifting her gaze briefly from his lips to his eyes, and then back. Then she closed her own eyes and leaned in the rest of the way. After planting several small, light kisses on his cheeks and mouth she looked at him, tightened her arms around his head and leaned in for a longer one. Her attempts to ignore the butterflies in her stomach were only partially successful.

"Zonko always counts. He almost counts for as much as house elves, but.... not quite," Erik said as he pulled away from the kiss, laughing and smiling as he did so.

A bit odd, just continuing the conversation, but... oh. She was looking at him funny. Was that not the right thing to say? His eyes were searching her face for an indication of what was going on, but - OH! He was dying. Her eyes were closed, and now she was kissing him... a lot.

It shouldn't have made him nervous. They'd kissed before! He'd just kissed her a moment ago! But this seemed so much more... serious and emotional... and it felt really good. It was Juhi, and she hadn't initiated any kissing before, and she'd picked him out a hat, but that was irrelevant, wasn't it?

COMPLETE MENTAL SHUT DOWN.

His stomach was flopping all over the place, in a way that would normally be a warning of something horrendous, but was now a sign that he should give up all hope of ever being able to think of anything but the girl kissing him EVER AGAIN. He didn't have experience with this kind of... feeling, and snogging, and what if he messed it up? WHO BLOODY CARED!?

He put his arms around her waist and pulled her in a bit closer, deepening the kiss just slightly. He was definitely going to let her initiate kissing more often.

So apparently, something could be insanely terrifying and yet completely and totally wonderful at the same time. Not that Juhi was able to contemplate that at the moment, however. She only knew that she had no real idea what she was doing, but that she was compelled to try anyway. Besides, wasn't snogging the sort of thing that took two people to learn, anyway?

Juhi felt tingly and shaky from nerves, and something else that bordered on...blissful. It had been hard for her to make her move initially; it was though everything she wanted to say but couldn't was escaping her, and Erik would know what she meant if he was paying attention, as though they were finally communicating in the way they were meant. She buried her right hand in his hair, and her stomach gave a huge swoop toward the ground. This was all so intimate and perfect, and she didn't want to stop but was almost afraid to continue. When he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, she wasn't sure a coherent thought would pass through her brain again. Ever. Unless it pertained to Erik.

When she finally began to pull away, and the initial kiss was broken, she dropped a few more light ones on the corners of his mouth. Forcing herself to make eye contact, afraid of what he would and what she would see, she smiled at him. This was not something she would regret, she felt certain. "Skippy...." she said softly. And couldn't really come up with anything else. Grasping at straws, she decided to mimic him, and continued the previous conversation. "You don't actually want to do that in front of house elves, do you?"

Erik was almost afraid that she would feel his heart beating. It was louder than ever, and was probably trying to send him a message he couldn't quite grasp yet. He could feel something beginning to overwhelm him. It started with a tingle in his toes and worked straight on up to his brain. His brain, which was sooner or later going to need air. He couldn't concentrate on that fact, however, with her hand in his hair and her lips on his.

It was over now. Or he thought it was, until she started placing light kisses on the side of his mouth. It almost didn't seem fair she could make him lose control like that. How did she know exactly what to do?

She was saying his name, or his nickname, he wasn't sure which, and he was looking at her in a way he hadn't before. Were you supposed to keep standing this close? Whether you were or weren't, he wasn't letting go now.

"Hmmn... what? NO!" Erik said, his brain returning from wherever it had been.

No, he didn't think he wanted the house elves watching something like this. Not at all. He was having a hard enough time letting Juhi search his face. He wanted her to know, but not before he knew himself. If that made any sense. Bugger. He needed to get rid of his brain again!

So he began to place light kisses on her jaw, rubbing her back just slightly with his thumb.

"You are too beautiful," he whispered in her ear, not even really thinking about it. It sort of made him nervous. Did he sound like an idiot? He probably did. He couldn't help it!

So, what to do? Keep kissing! And so he did. Soft kisses below her ear and on her cheek and it served her right. She started it!

Juhi tried to grin at Erik's enthusiastic response to the idea of house elves, but her eyes felt locked to his, and she couldn't move her thoughts, let alone force the muscles of her face into a smile.

She took a breath, not realizing until the air rushed into her lungs that she hadn't done so since speaking. His face. Did her face look like that? Juhi suddenly felt entirely exposed, but she couldn't do anything to stop it. A vague thrill of panic started somewhere along the base of her spine and began edging it's way toward her brain. The desire to let Erik in on what she was thinking and how she feeling was beginning to fail her at the thought that he would know EVERYTHING. He looked as though he could see through her, and she felt like she wasn't ready, even though she couldn't pull away.

A brief wave of relief washed over when he leaned down to kiss her jaw, and his thumb eased the panic out of her back. Her brain started buzzing, and then he called her beautiful. Somewhat stunned at the compliment, she made to pull away and look at him again, but he was kissing her below the ear and on her cheeks and she couldn't move, except to flex her fingers in his hair, rubbing him lightly on the nape of his neck.

He had called her beautiful, hadn't he? Just now? A smile slowly crept onto her face, and Juhi thought that, right now, at least, she believed him. Unable to think of an appropriate response, and terrified at the things she kept wanting to say but didn't yet have words for, she gasped and slid her arms away from his neck.

Her hands on his shoulders, she pushed him gently back, to stop the kissing and the fog on her brain, and then leaned in to hug him close and tightly. "Have to stop, Skippy," she whispered in his ear. "Driving me crazy. Sorry." She pressed her lips lightly against his neck a last time, and forced herself to relax in his arms.
