St Mungos Voting

A.

How much availability do you have in an average week for performing mod duties? A lot. I work only 4 days a week, so I have lots of time to get stuff done.
Have you participated in this community before? Yes, I am a Ward Leader and Healer.
If there were an argument or conflict regarding the community (someone inappropriately marking the rating or a points dispute, for instance), how would you handle it? Reviewing the rules with those involved, getting all the facts, and making the fairest possible decision based on what happened and what's stated in the rules. I'd bring in a main mod if necessary, but I doubt it would get to that point.
What would you like to change or see kept the same? I think St Mungos has been very low-key and flown under the radar, and I think that should change. St Mungos is a fun community that consistently puts on some cool activities, but people either don't know about it or aren't interested. I want people to see that there's something at St Mungos for everyone. I want to get the community shaking again.

I want to see the Healers and Healers-in-Training be updated more consistently, especially in the System. I do feel that's lacking. I want to get a full roster of Ward Leaders. I also want to be a strong presence in the community and keep communication going among the mod and the Ward Leaders, and the WL's with one another.

There was talk last term of some fun new things like certifications that Wards could give out, or something else to encourage Healers to learn more and be more involved in the community. I think something along those lines would definitely make the community more fun. Giving Healers new goals to work for and keeping the community dynamic will help people to become more involved in it.

There was also an idea being kicked around of an HiH-wide fitness/wellness campaign, where we could all encourage one another in our various fitness and wellness goals - everything from weight loss to athletic training to nutrition. This is something I definitely will implement.
Why are you interested in being mod of this community? Well, you can see how enthusiastic I am! I work in medicine IRL and really really love what I do, and I've loved my time at St Mungos in HiH. I think that this community needs an enthusiastic mod to jump start it and keep it going, and I think I can be that mod. I'm dying to do this!
Do you have any experience with html and graphics creation? Yes, I can easily work with both.

B.

How much availability do you have in an average week for performing mod duties? A couple of hours a day, most all of the weekends.
Have you participated in this community before? Yes, as a Healer in Training.
If there were an argument or conflict regarding the community (someone inappropriately marking the rating or a points dispute, for instance), how would you handle it? It would depend on the severity of the incident. If it was something minor that I felt just needed to be corrected, a gentle reminder, with a link to the relevant rule/faq would probably be my response, along with a suggested timely for the correction (ie. correct rating), followed be deletion, if an appropriate response isn't given or repeated offenses.
For something like a points dispute (I would review the issue to see first that I didn't actually make the suggested mistake (we're all human), and then a brief explanation of how I got the disputed value if it is correct, apologies and thx if I was wrong.
More serious issues, as they go up the ladder ie. flaming, fights, movie spoilers, whatever the issue was. First, I would try to handle it myself, if I could do so comfortably and within the spirit of HiH, followed by discussion with the other community mods, if it was something that needed clarification/backup, or an occasion where a member might have a personal issue with me, followed by contact and communication with the HiH mods as necessary. Basically, it's like a chain of command.
What would you like to change or see kept the same? I love the ward system and the healers/healers in training.
I could see running a "first aid" booth at the next Hogsmeade's Weekend where community members get extra points for "staffing"/contributing to the booth, but it is open for all members to play... maybe a few speed games like Hangman, an infirmary treasure hunt or guess the healing potion, something. That's just off the top of my head.
Why are you interested in being mod of this community? It marries my fannish and my r/l interests. It is interactive, fun and I feel it plays to my strengths and is one of the areas that I really feel capable of contributing to in a meaningful way.
Do you have any experience with html and graphics creation? Yes, I have done web design and graphics design for 12 years now, and run and have run some huge fan fiction archives (No, I'm not really exaggerating).
