For #551, I thought the Crested Porcupine might be a nice choice. The applicant loves hot weather, and these animals are found most commonly in North Africa and southern Italy, where it stays very warm. Also, the applicant's first trait of being resilient, which immediately made me think of a porcupine. The Crested Porcupine is in a group known as "Old World" Porcupines, meaning not only do they live in the "Old World" but that they've been around for a long time which takes a lot of resilience. The Crested likes to swim, like the applicant. Also, the applicant likes being around its friends and feels most comfortable around them, which is like this porcupine: they are very guarded around those that they don't know, and are much more friendly with their young and their family.
A fun fact about this porcupine is that it wanders around at night, gathering bones of other animals and storing them. Scientists aren't sure of its evolutionary purpose, but as a Ravenclaw, it seems that the "curiosity" of the animal would suit her well.
