Best Trait: My sense of humor and ability to make people laugh is my best trait. I have a natural ability to point out humorous things in any given situation. I also don’t mind interrupting a serious moment with a well timed comment. My humor can be snarky or well meaning, depending on the circumstance. I like to be a goofball and enjoy having friends to joke around with.
Worst Trait: I have a big ego and can be a bit vain. I always think people like me (or are in love with me) when they probably aren’t, I think situations are about me, and I focus on myself a lot. Once I learn that some one doesn’t like me I cut them out of my life and don’t feel the need to deal with them.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I love having people around me. I love feeling protected and cared for, and love having people to do the same for. I like having people to talk to all the time. I also enjoy cuddling with large groups of people.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? If you can’t tell, I am very outgoing. I am loud, blunt, and charming. I like to interact with many people. At parties I am a bit of a social butterfly and will move around from person to person quickly.

What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? Water! Cool, beautiful, and lovely water. I would love to swim around with all the beautiful creatures. If that wasn’t possible; the desert. Warm, dry, desert where I could bask in the sun and run around for hours.
What's your favourite kind of weather? My favorite kind of weather is the cool, crisp, autumn days when it’s not raining and a little cold. It’s not raining, so I don’t have to carry an umbrella and wear whatever shoes I want, but it’s cold enough that I can wear cute scarves and cardigans. These are the days I can sit outside and read a book without fear of overheating or freezing to death. The leaves are beautiful colors and you can play in piles of them.
Favourite time of day (or night)? Although I’m not much for a night owl, there is something about 2 am that I love. I live in a college town-- 2 am is finally when everything is quiet, adventures are afoot, and the stars are out. It’s just lovely.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? Soft fur. There’s something about being cuddly and furry that I like. Also, in a less-physical sense, I would want my animagus to be clever and protective. In real life I am ferociously (if not stubbornly) protective of my loved ones, and want an animagus that reflects that.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? I don’t have any specific capabilities that I perfer. I mean, a good swimmer, runner, protector, are all things that come to mind, but there isn’t anything that I feel particularly strong about.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? Scales and slimey skin freak me out. It might be a girly reaction, but there is something about those traits that I do not enjoy.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? I have always felt drawn to lions (even though I’m a Slytherin!), and jellyfish. Lions because they are protective, beautiful, (gay!), and ferocious. I like jellyfish because they are so beautiful!
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike?
Even though I said that I like jellyfish-- typical fish freak me out. It’s something about their eyes that gives me the shivers. In real life I am also a bit afraid of birds.
Why would you like to be an animagus? Oh my goodness, ever since I began the books I have been fascinated by animagi. There is something about knowing the animal side of you, and being able to adventure out in it. As an animagus I can see myself going on adventures not possible in my human form, working for the ministry, and doing whatever I want. In some ways I would want my form to be useful (Like Rita Skeeter’s), but on the other hand it would be nice to have a form to relax in.

Best Trait: It varies quite a bit depending on what is going on in my life but right now I would say my best trait is my resilience. I can do the work no one wants to, I can live through a lot and get out the other side better for it.
Worst Trait: I tend to give too much of myself in relationships. For most of the time, people give back as good as they good. But I have been taken advantage of because of this trait.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I prefer to be more solitary but if I have to have people around me there is a very select group of people that I want. I like my space and my time but within that select group I love being with them.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? I am pretty shy towards people not in my select group and very outgoing towards those who are. I can be more myself around my very best friends and that tends to bring out my wacky, talkative side. I think it would basically stay the same. No matter where I go, it takes a while for me to warm up to people but afterwards I can talk and joke with the best of them.
Please give an accurate description of your appearance; pictures are welcome! I'm 5'5-5'6, depending on the day. I think about 170lbs right now, but I am kicking my butt into shape. Fairly hourglass shapey. I have darker brown hair, that I usually prefer to have around the length of mid-back but I just got it cut to around collarbone, it's natural tendency is to spiral curl and I have to fight a bit to straighten it. I have pretty terrible eyesight and tend to wear contacts most of the time. I usually have pretty fair skin and get red pretty easily.
What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? Air or water. I love being in water and just being able to twist and play and dive. I see air as having that same freedom without the dark depths of the ocean bottom. Whether in air or water one of my favorite feelings is that whoosh of air/water when you are running fast, have the car window down, or swimming fast.
What's your favourite kind of weather? Hot! My favorite time of year is when the air is sticky and hot. I love in the dead of summer when you first get into your car and you can revel in that built up heat for a few seconds. In the right mood, I have been known to go out in the middle of a hot summer rain and just get drenched for the fun of it.
Favourite time of day (or night)? During the day, I start to get things into gear around 3 in the afternoon. I think that is about my favorite time of the day. It's pretty quiet and peaceful during this time because everybody is off as work/school and I just get to do my own thing.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? I'd really like to be something kind of sleek, whether that is fur, feathers, or scales. A big bonus I think would be a defense that is not always extended or visible.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? Good hearing and eyesight is a must I think. I would like to be graceful.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? I don't think I would want to be a physically huge animal.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? I have always been more of a cat person, I can sleep all day and just lounge around. Also seals and dolphins in their grace and just pure joy in being in their environment.
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike? Crickets, I really don't like crickets at all.
Why would you like to be an animagus? I would love to be able to see the world in a different way, all the sights and smells that animals pick up that we don't. And to be able to get away and just escape for a few hours is something that everybody wants to do.

Best Trait: Determination. I am a stubborn thing and do not consider defeat an option. So when a problem arises that I can't overcome on the first attempt, I sit back and examine it again and again for new solutions until something gives, rather than giving up and walking away.
Worst Trait: I am not a very neat person. I thrive in what I like to think of as controlled chaos, and am very much a packrat. Neat environments actually make me a bit uncomfortable. That's not to say I don't like things to be clean, just that I need a bit of clutter. Everything in its place and a place for everything, but that place need not be neat and organized. It's a terrible trait if only because it makes it impossible for others to walk into my space and find things if I need them to, where I can walk in and say exactly where something would be.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? A bit of both, really. The right people, I love to be around people. But at the same time, I need the ability to be off on my own regularly. I can get a bit overwhelmed when I'm in large groups for large periods of time. And in the wrong company, being surrounded by people will aggravate me more than anything. I suppose I'm a loner with an inclination towards being social in the right circumstances?
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? I think 'shy' is probably the most appropriate, although I'm not really shy, so much as introverted. Once I'm comfortable in a situation I'm very outgoing, but I can't simply jump into it. I have to sit back and watch what's going on around me first, and get a feel for things before I open up. I imagine it would be the same in my animagus form. It's more a cautionary thing for me than anything- I'm quite happy to be outgoing, but I have a horrible need for self preservation. I watch and observe first to ensure that I'm 'safe' to enter a situation.

What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? Earth, without question. Forested areas, with lots of trees and plants are ideal for me, since I love being that deep in nature. There's something very peaceful and comforting about forests for me. Water would definitely be second place as an option, but air is not on the list. I do not do well with heights past a certain point, so anything taller than a tree is sort of out of the question.
What's your favourite kind of weather? Definitely warm and sunny. If it's too hot, I feel too slow and I just want to find a cool place to stay and move as little as possible. And if it's too cold, I want to burrow into a warm place and do the same. That nice middle ground of warmth is perfect for me- when I can pop outside in a tank top and shorts and stay out all day and enjoy myself. I can deal with cloudy weather, and rain is nice once in a while, but I prefer my days sunny, since I have a fondness of just laying out in it with a good book to relax.
Favourite time of day (or night)? That's a tough decision, but I'd probably have to say late afternoon, when the sun is starting to go down. I like the transition feeling to that time of day, when things are starting to wind down and you're worn out from the earlier half of the day, but still energetic enough to finish it out.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? A natural inquisitiveness would be nice. Paws and a tail, because I love the idea of a tail. Short fur/hair, because I really dislike long hair, and some sort of markings like fur that is multiple colours.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? I'd like to be able to hide with relative ease, though that's not required if I have a means of defending myself. A balance of being able to defend myself (with teeth or claws) and being able to avoid danger, either by hiding or climbing out of its way is important to me. Speed is not terribly important if I can at least hide.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? Flying. No interest in it at. all. As below with the animals I am afraid of/do not like, extra legs (as in, more than 4 of them) would not be welcomed. Long hair/fur is a no, but I'd also rather have some than none, with the exception of being something like a snake.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? Rats, definitely. Those are one of my favourites and something that I feel a strong connection to. Things like foxes have an appeal, too, and any type of feline.
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike? I am absolutely terrified of spiders, and have a strong aversion to most insects. I'm also not much of a dog person.
Why would you like to be an animagus?
The animagus thing has always fascinated me, and to be honest, who hasn't ever wished they could become an animal for a while? I'd enjoy the opportunity to experience the world through the eyes of something else, because there's so much you could learn from that. It's a chance to see things you might not be able to see otherwise, and it's also a way to see things that others might not want you to see. It's a convenience thing as much as something fun, to me. If I'm in need of an escape, what better way to get away from people and life for a while than to transform into an animal and slip away? But if there's something I need to find out that requires a bit of spying, or somewhere I need to get involving a small space that I couldn't fit through as myself, being an animagus would come in handy. Overall, I'm much more likely to use it as a way to get away and relax, because I like my escapes and need them often. But I also enjoy the back-up option to situations that might otherwise be impossible if I can transform into an animal and accomplish what I need to that way.

Best Trait: I don't know how this would really connect to an animal, I'm quite intuitive and empathic. I'm able to read people pretty well and generally good at picking up on things left unsaid. I've been told I'm a good listener and that I'm good at giving advice, but again, not really sure how that translates to an animal.
Worst Trait: I think one of the reasons I'm empathic is because I'm very emotional myself. I am usually able to keep it pretty well under control when I'm around others, but it can also lead to me being too nice and/or avoiding confrontation because I'm afraid of letting my emotions get the better of me and/or accidentally hurting someone else's feelings. It's hard for me to let others see me upset because I hate feeling vulnerable, more than just about anything. I'm so often seen as fragile and helpless, but I do have a great amount of inner strength, it's just hard for me to show.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I'm definitely an introvert, so I don't like to have people around me all the time. However, that's not to say I don't want them around sometimes. I'm currently living in a flat with 7 other people, but I have my own room and bathroom, so I'm perfectly content. I'm free to keep to myself or socialize as I wish.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? Definitely more shy. However, I'm much more outgoing with people once I get to know them. I expect I would probably be more outgoing in my animagus form as well. There would be something liberating at being in that form - I wouldn't be self-conscious and could run free, as the animal itself could.

I'm 20 years old, petite, pale skin, dark brown eyes and naturally curly brown hair (though I keratin-ed it, so it's usually straight or wavy, read: manageable). I'm also terrible about describing myself. This picture's a couple years old and I have a stupid expression (it was high school), but I still look pretty much the same.
What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? I feel like my animagus form would probably be a land animal, but I also adore the water.
What's your favourite kind of weather? Warm and rainy. I know a lot of people get annoyed with the rain, but there's something beautiful and cathartic about it to me. I love being able to look out the window and see rain, and especially hearing it hit the window.
Favourite time of day (or night)? I like sunset - the lovely mix between day and night. I love sunrise for the same reason, but I am not a morning person, so I try to avoid seeing it as much!
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? Fur is really the only thing I can think of. I just feel like I'd be something with fur.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? I would say agility. Not necessarily immense speed, but just the ability to move quickly and gracefully.

Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? I am destined to be a cat lady - I know that already! Other animals I love are penguins, butterflies, and small fluffy animals, like rabbits, squirrels, etc. (I know, I'm such a girl.)
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike? Bugs, with the exception of butterflies.
Why would you like to be an animagus? I would love to find which animal is my kindred spirit. I do think there is one out there for everyone, and this community is evidence of that. I also am looking forward to getting to know the other members of the community and participating in the activities.

Best Trait: I command authority. (by which I mean people have a tendency to spontaneously add honorifics to my name, they frequently assume I am the one in charge even when I am not, and they tend to ask me for direction in how to act) I don’t have a great drive to lead and am just as happy to hang back. But I emerge, not infrequently, as the natural leader of groups I am in. When that happens I also prove to be a good leader.
Worst Trait: New concepts and abilities have always come easily to me, so I have no ability to work at things. If I’m not good at something immediately, I will usually give up and avoid it for all time.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I am much more of a loner. I tend to prefer solitary activities. I am very sensitive to noise, particularly from large groups. Too many people around stress me out. That said, I have also found I go a little crazy if I do not have at least some contact with other people every day.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? I am extremely shy. I doubt it would change in my animagus form, since it has not changed at all in my digital form - where many people seem to find they are more outgoing.
Please give an accurate description of your appearance; pictures are welcome! I’m on the taller side of average, in a family of giants so I frequently feel short. I’ve very dark, curly-ish hair which refuses to grow more than a few inches past my shoulders. Hazel eyes - which tend toward the brown spectrum (and which I sometimes like to call gold). High cheek bones. Dusting of freackles and big old plastic brainy-specs.

What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? Earth, with a possible add on of water. I am very much a sensible feet on the ground type of person, who ODed on water after a childhood spent on the swim team.
What's your favourite kind of weather? I love, love, love snow. If it is cold, I need it to snow. If it not going to snow, then I prefer a nice crisp fall day - cool enough to wear a sweater, but not so cold as to make being outside truly uncomfortable.
Favourite time of day (or night)? This one is a little difficult for me. I am definitely a morning person. I am up as soon as I wake up - no need for a long warm-up period or lots of coffee or what ever and my brain shuts down around 9:30 at night. That said, one of my absolute favorite things to do is to go on walks in the dark. I love the feeling of being alone with myself and the stars.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? Ideally, I would like to be furry and to have the opportunity of some sort of facial markings to represent my glasses.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? I think I’d like to be able to climb/be pretty agile or in other ways be able to move through think undergrowth with little difficulty. Also, since my job involves a lot of digging, I think an animagus form that digs/burrows would be particularly funny.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? I do not want to fly. Nor do I particularly want to be scary.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? Every time I say I am more of a cat person, people say “oh, that makes sense” I also quite like rabbits after having two as pets.
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike? I have recurring nightmares about snakes, and the fact that every time I see a turtle in the woods I turn around a see a snake means I am not so fond of turtles anymore either. I also find sheep to be extremely judgmental.
Why would you like to be an animagus? Just to prove I can. It is supposed to be a difficult piece of magic and that appeals to me.
