Best Trait: Bravery. I'm usually standing up for myself (or on the behalf of others), even if it makes me unpopular. I'm quick to try new things. And I love adventuring and exploring -- even if I have no idea where I'm going.
Worst Trait: A bad temper, which probably ties in with the first trait. I try to be collected and rational, but can be pretty driven by anger and make gutsy snap-decisions in the heat of the moment -- to the point where I've punched holes through walls out of frustration and lost jobs because I couldn't take another moment of following people I didn't respect.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner?
A mix of both. I love my social life and get antsy and lonely when I spend too much time cooped up at home alone, but I also get exhausted if I spend too many days in a row going out without some "me time" in between to nap/not do make-up/watch reruns.
I'm pretty independent and do well for myself when I'm forced to be alone, but if I had a choice, I'd have a modestly-sized group of friends to pal around with every day and the freedom to take time for myself now and then.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form?
...An outgoing introvert (is there such a thing)? I'm very self-focused and sometimes that comes across as kind of aloof, but I'm friendly underneath that and tend to be the first one to initiate conversation when I meet people for the first time. Large groups of strangers turn me off, but I do really well in large groups of people I know.

First one was taken of me 2 years ago, for a photography-student's portfolio. Second one was taken just now to show that my hair is growing out, but it's literally impossible to not look like a MySpace whore when you're trying to self-photograph from a camera-phone. Blehhh.
What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth?
Earth, because while I'd probably climb trees for thrills and swim to cool down, but I'd definitely be most comfortable sleeping on solid ground.
What's your favourite kind of weather?
I'm very adaptable. I love the smell of cool rain in the afternoon just as much as warm summer nights. I'd probably make the most of ANY climate, but preferably something moderate so I could comfortably sleep naked.
Favourite time of day (or night)?
Total night-person! I have to work morning/early afternoon shifts a couple times per week and I manage alright, but on days off I'm usually lounging around in pajamas all day and tearing things up until the crack of dawn! I power-nap at random throughout the day/night though.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? A solid balance between playfulness and seriousness: I'm dead-serious about things I'm passionate about, and will stay focused on something important until I'm done with it. But at the same time I'm quick to blow off work that doesn't personally interest me in favor of things I feel like doing on a whim: I've ditched class to drive along PCH for no other reason than "It's the first warm day of spring. It would be nice to smell the ocean air right now. Hey, why not?" I'd probably like an animal that is competent in taking care of itself and capable of getting things done in times of need, but also knows how to enjoy itself.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have?
Predatory instinct and physical strength. I like combat sports and get a thrill off offensive strategies. Also, I've always hated feeling weak or attacked (I dealt with my fair share of violence and emotional abuse when I was younger) -- its the worst feeling in the world to me and the idea of submission leads to a lot of my anger. I learned early to confront my issues head-on and throw the first punches. I'd need my animal to be at the top of the food chain, fearless, powerful and self-reliant.
Besides, I'm a pretty ambitious and idealistic person. Metaphorically speaking, I probably wouldn't be the animal running from something; if anything, I'd be the thing chasing it.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want?
Probably fins. Though it would be an incredible, unique experience to, for example, swim like a dolphin...I'd probably want an animagus form that I could morph into spontaenously and without prior thought or preparation (just like the Maurauders could), instead of having to frantically search for water.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with?
- BIG CATS! I've had an affinity for them ever since I was a little girl (I did my first-ever major science project on the evolution of big cats and my bed was always lined with an army of lion/tiger/jaguar plushies).
- Larger dogs. I've grown up around Golden retrievers, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Boxers, etc. my entire life.
- Primates (my brothers from another mother).
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike?
- Spiders/cockroaches/flies.
- Anything domestic -- no cages, stables or pens for me; I would go crazy if I wasn't free and independent.
Why would you like to be an animagus?
It would make my inner-child happy. I used to pretend to be animals all the time (growling at people, "flying" from tables to couches to beds, leaping to the ground off of the highest tree branch because I was an idiot real animals don't get scraped hands). My eight-year-old self would kill to have that ability.
Plus, it would be pretty awesome to be able to transform into something cool: terrify your enemies, impress your friends, get away with things because you're incognito and the police don't keep pawprints in their database...

Best Trait:
I'm always there for my friends and family. If they need someone to talk to, I'll listen. If they need to vent, I'll listen. If they need to cry, I have two shoulders. If they want to squee, I'll join them. You get the idea. :)
Worst Trait: I'm not good at being a leader. I'll take initiative if there's no one else, but I prefer to follow. That's why I don't sign up to be club officers or anything like that. Don't get me wrong, I have been a leader when it's been required of me, but it's not who I am.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I'm more of a loner. The Internet is both a blessing and a curse for me. A blessing because it lets me socialize without leaving the comfort of my home. A curse because I don't leave my house a lot to socialize face-to-face. I'm getting better at it.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? Shy. That's why I don't get out much. I go to social gatherings and usually end up sitting on the fringes, just watching. I don't think it'd change if I were an animagus. If I were an innocuous animagus, maybe it would. It'd be fun to be a dog or a cat or a bird and tease people and mess with their minds.
Please give an accurate description of your appearance; pictures are welcome! I'm 4'10", pear-shaped, with short brown hair, blue eyes, and I wear glasses (VERY near-sighted, I don't even want to TRY to drive without them).
What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? I'd have to say earth. I like to keep both feet planted firmly on the ground. It's fun to play in the water, but I'm not a great swimmer, so I couldn't spend days at a time in the water. I like to go flying, too, and would probably be more comfortable in the air than in the water.
What's your favourite kind of weather? Cool and crisp with a chance of sunshowers. We had some last December and even had thunder and lightning. It totally freaked our cats out.
Favourite time of day (or night)? Mid-morning to late-morning. I'm wide awake and still have the whole day ahead of me to get things done.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? Fur. I love petting our cats, especially when it's so soft and fluffy. Ooh, and a tail! You can express so much with a tail!
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? Better eyesight than mine. Since I won't have the luxury of glasses in an animagus form, it needs to be able to freaking see.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? No more than four legs. Six-legged and eight-legged beasties are not my cup of tea. Or any beasties with far too many legs. We're born with four limbs for a reason.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? Well, my patronus stamp is a red stag if that tells you anything. *grin*
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike? Just insects. Especially ants. They creep me out. I don't have a big problem with spiders like a lot of people do, but just no insects or arachnids.
Why would you like to be an animagus? Because it'd be awesome to be able to turn into an animal and be able to view the world through a different set of senses. If you think about it, our senses suck. We adapted by creating things that make up for it, but it'd be awesome to not need those things. I'm weird like that, I guess. And being an animagus would also give me a chance to not think about the things that are stressing me out.

Best Trait: Mental acuity. I'm fairly bright, intensely curious, and when I set out to learn more about a particular topic, I'm not satisfied with half-answers or an incomplete picture. I aim for comprehensive understanding of the things that interest me.
Worst Trait: Self-doubt that sometimes devolves into paranoid self-evisceration. I am extremely critical of myself, very apprehensive of stepping on others' toes, and very hesitant to accept praise at face value. It's a destructive way of thinking, and I'm working hard to give it up.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I am definitely more of a loner. I enjoy spending time in densely populated places so I can indulge my fondness for people-watching, but I prefer to limit my interaction with others to small gatherings of close friends.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? I'm quite shy around people I don't know and trust. Ask me about my interests, though, and I'll talk a blue streak. This might change when I'm in animagus form, but I think it would depend largely on the traits of the other people/animals around me.

Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? Holes in my skin in the manner of the Suriname toad. Also, nothing that would tempt others to swat me or spray me with lethal chemicals.

Why would you like to be an animagus? I like the idea of having an animal avatar that encapsulates my personality in a metaphorical way.

Best Trait: I am driven. I know what I want, I love the feeling that comes with accomplishment, and I hate letting anybody down, especially if they’ve invested love, attention, and resources in me.
Worst Trait: I am too self-critical by far. I give myself a hard time about a lot of important things, and those things almost always stem from my sense of how much I have accomplished, or how successful I am. I’m thoughtful, I work hard for what I want, I am quite ambitious, and I’m careful to make as few mistakes as possible. That tends to add up to lots of introspection and self-evaluation. Unfortunately, I also judge myself very harshly - goes along with the “succeed to the highest degree” territory - and, as a result, tend not to give myself nearly enough credit for what I’ve done.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? I am an introvert who enjoys being around people. I love listening to people talk (especially about themselves; I seldom label somebody self-involved for that reason alone), and I like being included. However, I am my own best company, and I require and spend a lot of time in my own head. I also like to travel by myself; I don’t need a constant companion to have a good time.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? I wouldn’t call myself outgoing or shy, though I would say that I am shy with people I have not met and/or grown used to and that I become more outgoing the better I know you. I think this would change in my animagus form. My restraint is a defense mechanism; it’s a way for me to protect myself and get the most out of the world (shy because I don’t know you and therefore don’t trust you, then outgoing because I’m comfortable and feel safe). I don’t particularly like being reserved at first go, though, because I tend to miss out on a lot, and as an animagus I’d like for my base instincts to take over in this respect.

What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? I’d like to be on earth. I like stable ground underneath my feet; this preference is probably some kind of deep psychological bent Freud would have loved to study, and as an astrologer I like to say my need for something solid to hold onto stems from me being an Aries (babies need to know they’re taken care of!). Water and air, as elements, are too free and unstable to give me that assurance.
What's your favourite kind of weather? Breezy, warm spring days, clear skies (no clouds!). Cool enough to require a light cardigan, but warm enough to enjoy lunch outside. I also love balmy summer nights, with clear skies - I tend to hate summer because of the chronic, sticky humidity and how greasy it makes me feel, but I love summer nights because it cools off just enough to be able to actually enjoy the warm weather, and the feeling of freedom and lightheartedness that summer nights inspire are unparalleled and cannot be reproduced at any other time of the year.
Favourite time of day (or night)? Dusk, when things settle down and you can practically hear the world breathe a sigh of relief.
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? Paws, endurance, and lots of muscles. Claws, too, would be nice.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? The ability to hunt sizable prey, travel long distances at a constant rate, quick reflexes
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? I do not want to be suited primarily for the water. Being able to use it is fine, but I do not want to be stuck there because I cannot survive outside of it. I also do not want to be small. I want lots of physical power and the brawn to show for it.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? I didn’t really want to answer this, but I’d like to be some kind of lion or tiger, or anything that gives me that much power and respect from other life forms. I prefer to be at the top of the food chain (literally and figuratively), and extra points if that position goes uncontested because of my prowess.
Are there any animals you are afraid of or strongly dislike? Insects of any kind, scavengers, animals that run away instead of fighting
Why would you like to be an animagus? It’d be an outlet, mostly. I have so much self-control, and sometimes it’s painful to keep the all of the unadulterated energy under lock and key (because, I tell you, there is a lot, and at times I’m scared of myself because of it), to prevent it from taking over and running the show. I often get in these moods where I’d just like to fight, to build something simply to tear it down, preferably physically. I’d like to have a safe, legal way to let out all of that energy.

Best Trait: Creative. Creating art through drawing and painting has been my passion thus far in life, and I would be absolutely thrilled if I could pursue a career somewhere in this wide field of work. Not only do I love to get my hands dirty, but I also enjoy learning about art history. ~ Besides creating art, I also love to write and create my own worlds that way. My imagination in both areas is very active.
Worst Trait: I over-think things. I over-think situations and over-analyze my own decisions, and imagine the outcomes of each. By the time I finish with all these burdening thoughts the chance or opportunity has passed, or it’s almost too late. I’ve never been one to just jump head-long into decisions without some consideration first, which I suppose can be good in some ways, but over-thinking things as a whole is a pain and really inconvenient most times. I’ve been trying to get better at this, but I can still get stuck.
Do you like to have people around you, or are you more of a loner? Either or, depending on the situation and how I’m feeling. There are a select few who I really enjoy spending my time with, but even then I need my alone-time as well (and lots of it!). If I’m around too many people/crowds for too long my mood plummets and I become extremely temperamental and have been known to snap. I have a lot of patience and can handle people well most times, but after a long day sometimes it’s just too much.
Are you more outgoing or shy? Do you think this would change when you are in your animagus form? In my daily life, I’m somewhere in between with outgoing and shy. This mostly depends on the situation and who I’m with, and I doubt that this would change while I’m in my animal form. ~ I’m very open around those who are close to me, but around strangers my reactions can vary from quiet/politely-friendly or cold/a bit cautious. It all depends on the person and how I feel around them.

What kind of environment would you feel most comfortable in: air, water or earth? I would say that I feel most comfortable with the earth beneath my feet. I love the earth and I love exploring that way. On the other hand, though, I can’t help but wonder what flying would be like. I’m afraid of heights as it is, but I’m thinking that if I had wings and knew how to fly, it would be an enriching experience.
What's your favourite kind of weather? Cool to cold weather is my favorite type. I love when the air is chilly and crisp outside, especially when it’s getting foggy and dark. Rain and thunderstorms are so wonderful; I jump at the chance to watch rain fall since it’s so rare out here in the desert.
Favourite time of day (or night)? Late afternoon is nice if you want to just laze around or relax - especially during the summer - but my favorite time overall is past midnight. Everything is silent then and I often get random bouts of inspiration in the early morning, so I’m often up either writing before I pass out (aka - fall asleep) or drawing something last-minute. It’s eventful, but just a tad inconvenient if I have school or work in the morning! xD
Are there any traits you think you might like your animagus form to have? Anything from fur to feathers is fine for me! I’m not too picky, as long as my traits are useful.
What capabilities is it important that your animagus form have? I would like to be able to protect myself (or others) in my animagus form, especially for the fact that there are many dangers out there. That’s the main thing for me. Stealth is good too, even if you’re a larger animal, but it isn’t a must. Otherwise, I’m pretty much open to anything.
Are there any traits or capabilities which you absolutely do not want? I don’t want to have attributes related to insects. I can’t stand bugs in general, and I certainly don’t want to have something like that for my animagus form.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or have a connection with? I’ve always loved felines (domestic or wild), as well as owls, wolves, and foxes. I just love them!

Why would you like to be an animagus? I’d enjoy knowing what it feels like to change forms and to see the world through new eyes. I also imagine that with having this ability, it would allow you to have certain job opportunities that others wouldn’t have. On the plus side, it just sounds fun and interesting! I’ve always been one for learning and experiencing new things when the opportunity presents itself.
