Personality: These Ravenclaws will have lightning-fast mental reflexes. Aries is an intellectual sign, but it is also an impatient sign; Ravenclaws who were born under this sign are likely to tolerate no dull wits or stupidity, whether they see this lack of mental competence in themselves (in which case they will berate themselves for not understanding, or give up quickly in frustration without really trying to overcome their difficulty in learning) or in others (in which case they will lash out at the offender with acidic comments and haughty, cutting looks). These Ravenclaws will want to be at the head of the class, dominating other students in their chosen intellectual field, and may be almost as competitive as Slytherins. However, the true aim of every Ravenclaw is knowledge, knowledge, and more knowledge. While a Slytherin might see losing a magical duel or being bested by another student in a DADA class as humiliating, the Ravenclaw will probably just take delight in competition for its own sake, and see defeat as a learning experience.
Claire is a tough little cookie. Although she was teased quite frequently in school, not once did she cry or even fight back. When she was young her weapon of choice was to completely ignore people. It wasn't until she gained self confidence after school that she finally had to courage to talk back to anyone that wronged or upset her. And how. She is capable of coming up with cutting retorts and can actually be quite cruel if she puts her mind to it. On the other hand, she now becomes flustered very easily and it is definitely not hard to annoy her. It’s not that she doesn’t have a sense of humour, but she tends to be slightly oversensitive when it comes to personal attacks. She can remain calm around students, she spent years studying them while she worked in Hogsmeade, the best way to deal with a problem student is to not show any fear. But around adults she's not afraid to show her temper.
She sometimes takes things far too seriously and she's quite a tough teacher. She won't hesitate to take points off a student for misbehaving, but she's fair and she rewards generously. She makes her lessons fun and as hands on as possible and she's always an enthusiastic teacher.
Physical Description: Claire originally had light brown hair but started a tradition when she worked in Hogsmeade to dye it a different colour so she could surprise the students each time they came to the little town. She has brown eyes, although not the traditional sort, she can't pull off the pleading puppy dog look like other brown-eyed people can. Her height is roughly 5'7" and she's an average sort of build. You can tell when she's bottling in her troubles as her weight fluctuates to either noticeably skinny or noticeably putting on weight. Preferred Body Model: Franka Potente Future Body Model: N/A
If this is your first UK character: Please give us a sample RP, at least one paragraph in length.
Claire smiled softly as she watched the students leave the shop, chattering amongst themselves excitedly. Hogsmeade visits were always a thrilling time not because of the shopping opportunities (there wasn’t that many in actual fact although the sweet shop was always good value) but because you got to go out with your friends with very little teacher supervision. It was fun to look around all the stores but acting like a ‘grown-up’? That was the best bit of all.
The best bit for the store employees was the end of the day. For Claire it was catching the students with ‘sticky hands’. She waved her wand at the pocket of a young boy disappearing out the door and a Sneakoscope came zoomed towards her. The former Ravenclaw caught it with one hand and placed it in a basket at her feet. That was item number sixteen she had reclaimed from kids who thought they were the next François Villon, the famous French thief (and poet).
