Well, the Indiana Legislature has approved the Major Moves bill...the long and the short of it is that it means leasing the Toll Road. Whee! The only part of that bill that really concerns me is the US-31 bypass that they want to build between South Bend and Indianapolis, more specifically the part that goes through Kokomo. I don't dispute that the traffic through the little northern Indiana towns and especially Kokomo is awful. However, the bypass is set to go only a mile or so from my grandparents' house and it pains me greatly because I think they're going to have to sell their house... it's really really really sad to me. I have to look into this more, but I know at least one property down the road has already been snatched up by the government. :p
