Since I'm stuck where I am for the next 25 minutes while testing a smartphone problem let's speculate...
Since destruction is easier than creation, Vanessa could have tried to jam Mona's spiritual connection. In the same way Latura said Urthblood and Vanessa were fighting in the sky, Vanessa could have tried to fight Mona's connection. The Founder could have also used some obscure herbal knowledge to create an antipsychotic and quietly dosed her.
The moment Seers became a real thing, someone should've tested their powers by sticking them underground, underwater, and inside Faraday cages.
Tratton was onto something when he said that not even he knew how he would act. Would it have been possible to defeat Urthblood and Mona with a pair of dice? I do admire how the searat instantly solved the Latura's death riddle.
What if Redwall built a whole bunch of possible plans using decision trees and then issued dice to everyone (to be rolled at the last minute)?
At the end of the book, everyone the new visitors touch dies. What about the buildings? What is special about walls and buildings that they (presumably) escape destruction? Does that mean it is possible to defend against them (of course, otherwise it'd make for really boring reading...)?
Just some thoughts...
