My new favorite tv show

Have you seen The Girls Next Door? Its the new tv show on E! about the girlfriends of Hugh Hefner. I am TOTALLY obsessed with this show. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode at least three times. I think this has something to do with the fact that I don't have a lot of girlfriends. Ever since I moved to Madison five years ago, I haven't had a gang of girls to hang out with. Sure I've had a female friend here or there, or a roommate to swap shoes with, but no real bunch of ladies to be myself around. Enter Holly, Bridget, and Kendra - Hugh's girlfriends. I have so much fun watching them. The are pretty, dress in pink, lay out in the sun, carry around tiny dogs, layer on black mascara, and party together. They are the friends I never had. I think that it has something to do with my mom. She always made me feel that girls that spend lots of time giggling and trying to look pretty are ditsy, stupid, and selfish. This may be why I have a closet full of solid-color gap tees and cardigans, I don't wear eyeshadow, and I haven't made friends with the friday-night-margaritas-with-the-girls kind of people. I also don't have any sisters, which exsasterbated the problem.

Anyway, I'll stop my whining now. I'm hoping the first season is out on dvd by Christmas. Its definitely on my list!
