For the most part, Kate doesn't actively try to avoid Sawyer - except for when she does - but that doesn't make her inclined to frequent all the same haunts as he. This month, it's different, what worries typically keep her restrained to more secluded areas of the island now replaced with thoughts of Rapture and the dangers that lie below. They've both been down there, even so much as run into one another, but it doesn't mean she likes it; Jack and Sawyer aren't the only ones who fret, she's just less vocal about it. Usually.
Lately, she's been taking detours leading her around his hut, stopping by the radio station, the Winchester, all in an effort to keep tabs on him. Try though she might, she knows that she's barely being discreet, but showing her cards in this instance is a necessary sacrifice if she wants to know should something go wrong. Still, most days, she does her best not to be seen. Others, she stops caring. Today is the latter.
She hovers in the doorway for a few moments upon entering the pub, allowing her eyes to adjust to the changing light, then takes a look around. One hand shoved into the back pocket of her jeans, she uses the other to wave at Neil. "Afternoon."
