A good session
Another voice lesson this evening (straight from work) with the ever-perceptive SB.
Reckon this was one of the ones that I need to keep on mental videotape. Sang at the frontier of my ability, and continually strove to absorb the points of technique that were being conveyed. Oh yes, the pace rarely slackened through the hour-and-a-bit session, and had the gratifying quality of keeping me totally engaged in the process.
Definitely feel most alive in situations like this, wherein you feel that something new is really being learnt, and not in an undemanding way. OK, *how* much of what we practiced with the 'Ages Ago' piece sticks, remains to be seen, but since we *will* be performing the piece at the Buxton festival next month, the race is now on to make it the best we can...
