Ah, house to myself until Sunday. Right now it's nice, but by, say, Friday evening, I will have thoroughly convinced myself that serial killers and bugs lurk in every corner.
One more day of work, one workshop Friday, and then it's SUMMER. Oh, it is so glorious to know it is here at last.
I am in a wedding in 23 days! I love this couple and am honored to be their maid of honor. I looooove my dress, as with my new pixie cut, it makes me feel like a real pixie!
I am very much into this season of So You Think You Can Dance. Oh, Mary Murphy, I have missed your crazy face. You are a delight. Tasty Oreo continues to annoy. Li'l C continues to bring me joy.
Netflix, you are the bomb dot com backslash diggity. Last night I upgraded my account to 2 disks out at a time. Summer affords more movie-watching opportunity. In the last few days, I have watched many a fabulous film, including Howl, SLC Punk, and a majestically wonderful gay coming-of-age film called Dorian Blues. Now I am in the middle of Assassination of a High School President. It is less like Brick than I was expecting, but at least it doesn't feel like a copy. Anyway, everyone go watch those movies. They are good.
I may have mentioned before that my favorite couple in all the world, M & N, have moved/are moving to California. N started his job out there in April, and M just graduated from college and will be headed out after his nephew is born. I am crossing my fingers for a wedding. They have been together for 7 years and are really only not married because the law says they can't be. I would like to take naysayers of gay marriage and just point to M & N and say, "There. THAT is why what you say is silly, and THAT is why gay marriage, or as I like to call it, marriage, is a-okay." I am going to miss them immensely, but I will get to go to the beach whenever I visit them, and with any luck will be attending their wedding in the next couple years.
The other day M mentioned that he wanted to get a tattoo of the letters M A N on his arm. I couldn't figure out why on earth he would want "man" tattooed on his arm. Luckily, he patiently pointed out that they represent his and his boyfriend's names. M and N. Duh. They are unbelievably cute and in love.
