CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: The World Ends With You, Sanae Hanekoma, also known as CAT
In-Game Name: Sanae Hanekoma, CAT
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Position & Ship:

Victoria II; (Major, I guess) Records Keeper.

Appearance: He has a pretty average appearance for someone as himself--being around a good tall height of 6'2 feet, he typically has his hair in a hair-syle that resembles Elvis' and his eyes are chocolate brown. Hanekoma's skin color is a normal light yellow. He normally wears black clothing that consist of a normal white short sleeved t-shit which the sleeves are usually rolled up, a black vest that comes on top as well as black pants and black sandals. Sanae is also normally seen with his sunglasses.

Personality: Hanekoma is generally a laidback individual toward most things and usually likes to take it easy more often then not compared to others which of course may give others a feeling that he is quite lazy but really, he isn't. It may even give others a feeling that he's indifferent most of the time. Despite this, Hanekoma has deep insight at times when things may not be going so well and he sticks true to what he says. If he feels something is important to protect he would go to many lengths to ensure it is not lost.

He also is an understanding person and would probably listen to someone if they needed someone to help them with anything so in a way he can be compassionate.

However, if you happen to buy from Hanekoma you find he would be willing to cheat you out of your money even if the world was ending because he is cheap. He also shows great enthusiasm in assisting people, although he won't hold back from teasing or sticking someone in the spotlight if he feels like it. Of note, however, is that Hanekoma is also an enigmatic figure. For example, if he introduces himself to a person, Hanekoma releases a great deal of information about himself; however, he would mostly add details that could be considered irrelevant. Additionally, Hanekoma is  a great deal of talents, but decides to never talk about them--in fact, CAT, his graffiti artist identity, has never granted an interview--adding more to his habit of 'show, don't tell."

Abilities/Weapons:

He appears to be your average-every day man who you may see on the street everyday but really he is not only a talented artist but one who posses natural magic abilities as well--which seem to be a gift from somewhere in his lineage--and as such he one day learned he could use such power through an accident. Most of the magic he uses has to do with healing and a little defensive magic such as putting up a barrier around himself for a short time--as for offensive, he can throw a blast full of energy at an opponent. However, he doesn't use magic much as he doesn't want to attract unwanted attention to himself (moreso then he may have already). Also, by the manipulation of magic he is able to make angelic wings come out from his back but those are just for show.

As for any weapons, he doesn't have any and he's not all that much of an expert at martial arts but he is in good fitness to be able to move quickly should he be forced to act..on a physical level.

How well can your character hack?: He can hack YO MAMMA'S COMPUTER YO.

Very well because he figured hacking may come in handy sometime if the situation called for it (or if he was being really sneaky) and so he taught himself how to hack into things. So, at a level he could hack at hard difficulty.

Weaknesses: In a way, not having anyone know him personally or revealing any personal information about himself to others would classify that trait of his as a weakness due to the fact it would limit the amount of people Hanekoma would be able to become close to.

Coffee and beans are also his weakness--its really hard for him to not go anywhere without it.

History: Hanekoma was born in Ivona in the city of Solare, an only child who lived with only his aunt as his parents mysteriously disappeared after he was born and so the sister of his mother decided it was her duty to see that he would be raised well. It was said his parents came from an entirely different continent but even that exact piece of detail was unknown as how where they had been last seen. One thing was for sure and it was the fact that his parents must have been magicians or had high magic potential because Hanekoma himself learned, once upon healing an injured bird, he could use it.

His aunt worked almost full-time however, which usually left the young boy at home alone and whenever he wasn't working on anything school-related he would begin to draw on the walls with a pencil before sometimes using crayons to color in the drawings on the walls in his room. Of course, it didn't stop there, he continued to draw along other places in the house and he even grabbed a chair once to draw on the ceiling! Eventually, his aunt found out about his scribblings all over the place but rather then scold him and/or punish him she instead encouraged him--she had, after all, had once pursued a career in art but she didn't have much luck but that didn't stop her from seeing if she could raise an artist.

And so, his aunt told Hanekoma to expand his world...to see beyond the form of one thing, to broaden his horizons and reach out to others with his art--he wasn't limited to his own world but could explore others in the form of art. He took the saying to heart, becoming merely inspired by just this and practically made it his creed; so, as he painted he saw the world as his canvas, as he drew he saw the universe as a stepping stone and so on and so forth. Naturally, after he worked hard each and every day he became famous enough to be dubbed a 'multi-talented artist' and although many might have thought he would have no time for socializing they would be wrong.

After all, he plenty of time to talk to people randomly on the street and even invited people into his house for a cup of home-made coffee (which he made himself, of course). This, however, act of bringing strangers into the house drove his aunt a little crazy as she didn't like to see anyone in the house she didn't know of. But when, of course, Hanekoma reached 18 and moved out of the house, she wasn't surprised and years later when people came looking for him they only found an empty house.

And so, Hanekoma went out to Melior unsurprisingly and began to assume two identities--Sanae Hanekoma, owner of the Wildkat Cafe (of which he started with his own money) and of course the multi-talented artist, CAT. It wasn't long before his art was practically showcased everywhere in the city and even in the other cities in Ivona whether it would be on products, paintings, or even murals of which someone might be lucky enough to stumble upon. However, no one knew the real identity of CAT, as he made it a point on concealing his identity to the point where no one even knew the gender of the great artist. But maybe it was because like anyone else with great fame, there would be people who were completely envious of CAT.

Sanae Hanekoma, of course, while working at his cafe was known by everyone else for his ridiculous amounts of money he charged for his coffee but it was great compared to any other coffee shop in the city. Still, he didn't get a lot of visitors but seemed to make enough to have the cafe still up and running. He decided to take a walk to survey the city as well as before probably thinking about making another mural with spray paint when he saw a boy around the age of six in distress, crying. As he walked up to the poor child, he noticed an apparition nearby and before he even asked the boy quickly ran behind him, saying,

"There's a scary man over there and I-I just saw him go through the wall!"

Needless to say, Hanekoma was a little surprised--from what he could gather, the young fellow had the ability to see ghosts and of course not many around did have that skill. But without hesitation, Hanekoma patted the young boy on the head when he turned around to face him and grinned as he said,

"I can see 'im too but he isn't doing anything bad to either of us yet, is he? You, young guy--"

"-Joshua-"

"--have a talent and that means it is good you can see that ghost..."

And so, he invited the young six-year old boy, Joshua, into Wildkat Cafe so they would have a chat and by the time Hanekoma escorted the young boy back home they had already become friends.

One day, he decided to become a substitue teacher for the most elite high school in the city of Melior and it wasn't long before someone from the high school started to come to his cafe: Neku Sakuraba. It wasn't long before Hanekoma himself started to privately tutor the boy so that he would be able to improve his studies and being the amazing, inspiring man he was his method of teaching Neku helped him vastly improve his studies.

Of course, somewhere along the road Sanae decided to give some pins that he crafted himself to Neku--the same pins that were seen worn by everyone else but still they were gifts...until, well, Hanekoma asked for them back for just the simple reason of 'fine tuning' them. Of course, what the real Pins' purpose was for to test to see if the Pins reacted to any magical potential Neku may have had--so in this instance they were only a test run, compared to the regular pins other people wore made by him.

Someone, however, just had to have been earsdropping on their conversation and because of this he found out that Neku nearly lost his life to some unknown individual--that's when he decided it best be for him to lay low for a while. So he temporarily closed up shop and literally signed up for the Victoria II while he was in the city of Melior.

ooc, sanae hanekoma
