It's official. Officials suck.

USC is hosting Arkansas in a total laugher, because Arkansas' defense blows. However, after USC got deep into Ark territory, Arkansas made a stop on 3rd and Goal. Inexplicably, an official called a defensive hold (amid a flurry of busted offensive lineman that almost surely held someone) that was nowhere to be seen, giving USC a new set of downs and half the distance to the goal.
The next play, USC "scored" on a very close, controversial call. Just before the PAT attempt, they decided to review the play. TV replay shows that it should have been a touchdown. The guys in the booth said it wasn't.
The very next play, USC "scored" on a very close, controversial call. Once again, they reviewed the play. TV replay -- despite the blind commentators' observations -- showed that the runner's knee was down before he broke the plane with the ball. The guys in the booth ruled it a touchdown.

This should be moot, because it's now 35-10 in the 2nd quarter, and it's not going to get much closer. But they instituted the replay rule to fix this kind of shit, and now they're only fucking things up.
The only advantage the Hogs had was that USC's defense was tired because their offense would score on only two plays. The gobs of extra time that it took for the officials to blow both calls without actually affecting the eventual score gave USC's defense an extra few minutes to recuperate, which is very much fucking with the game.
