Denvention, here I come!
Yesterday, I bought my membership for WorldCon in Denver, which is happening August 6-10, 2008. I also booked my flight and reserved my hotel room.
I guess this means I'm going. After months of saying "maybe, maybe not", I decided to go for it. This will be my third time attending a WorldCon event (assuming they let me into the US, that is!) and I'm really looking forward to it. I love all the creative energy at these conventions and all the fascinating costumes that people wear. I'll probably be dressed as... a Canadian visiting the US. :-)
I've heard that there will be a NaNoWriMo panel at Denvention, and I'll probably see what they have to say. I have no idea what else I'll do or see while I'm there, but I'll definitely check out the dealer room... and probably buy a few books.
