Quote of the Day: [Homer sitting motionless in a lab with a conveyer belt loaded with food infront of him ]
Lab Guy: You really have no desire to eat that food?
Homer: Food? I'm blind!!!

Generally speaking, I don't like birthdays. Same reason I don't like weddings, parties or anything else that involves masses of happy people. Birthdays are an excellent show-case for current moods. If you're on top of the world, a birthday is a celebration, a time to enjoy attention from your surrounding. If you're not, it's a poor reminder how life sucks and how little was accomplished over the past year.

Fortunately for me, this year's birthday caught me in a good mood, relatively speaking of course. So I have not wallowed in self pity and haven't shut myself indoors with the cell phone shut. Instead I got calls from people I haven't heard from in quite a while (always good) and enjoyed my time with my friends, thinking how lucky I am to have such friends. (yeah, okay... awwww as much as you like. If someone asks me later on I'll say I was too tired, drunk or stoned, not in that order)

I had a good day today. Met with spelljammer for lunch, and had a couple of rounds of air hockey with him (score was tied at 1-1). I then went to the gym, but instead of the usual workout, I decided to go to the spa instead, and I got a 50 minutes aromatherapy massage. OMG. I forgot how good a massage can be. After the massage I sat in the sauna for about an hour or so. When I was done, I felt so relaxed, and I had this stupid smile on my face.

Same smile hasn't left my face yet. Probably a personal record.
G'night folks.

friends, personal moments
