Oh boy, health update time.
Monday night I had an awful sunburn all across my back and the backs of my legs. On Tuesday it felt significantly better. However, on Tuesday I developed a rather spectacular sore throat that has yet to remove itself from my body.
I woke on Wednesday morning to a sharp pain in my right ear. After some careful consideration, it was decided that I had Swimmer's Ear, and so I proceeded to take the appropriate treatment. The next morning I awoke unable to hear out of said ear, which is quite a frightening experience. And in addition to my sore throat, I had developed various other coldlike symptoms (i.e. congested sinuses, coughing, sneezing).
Friday brought me an unexpected feeling of glee. My sunburn was nearly completely healed and I was once again able to hear out of my ear! Oh, the excitement. Still the cold symptoms were plaguing me, but I was feeling considerably better. I thought everything was going to be fine and dandy, but I was incorrect.
This morning I awoke and was literally unable to open my left eye. Upon removing the stuff that had glued my eyelids shut, I looked in the mirror and to my great displeasure, discovered that my eye was bright red and slightly swollen and still oozing some lovely gunk. Yes my friends, it would appear that I have conjunctivitis.
After several long and frustrating phone calls to Kaiser Roseville, I learned that they were all booked up for today in their "urgent care" clinic, and that I would have to resort to going to Pediatrics instead. Whee. So that is where I will be in another two hours.
I can only hope that this is the last thing that will go wrong with me for a good long while. I'm rather sick of being sunburned and ill and deaf and oozing eye goo.
