Remembering

When I do homework I have to listen to music. I don't know why, but I cannot concentrate unless the TV is on or theres music playing. Most of the time I go for the music because I know it is less distracting to me. Tonight I did just that. I set my iTunes on a random mix and started writing. I was getting shit done, and fast...until it came on.

The summer going into my freshman year of college I went to a Counting Crows concert at Irving Plaza, an intimate venue in NYC. I bought two tickets and then happened to win two more on the radio (which still excites me). It was an amazing night, by far my favorite Crows concert and Ive seen 8. The whole show was great, but the Round Here alt that they did had a huge impact on me for many reasons. A few months after the concert I was able to get a hold of a recording of the show. I have that moment of my life on iTunes now.

So not too long ago as I was typing I heard the intro of the Irving Plaza Round Here alt and I just stopped what I was doing. I plugged my headphones in, put em on, and closed my eyes. I pressed the speakers as tight as i could against my ears. I was there and it felt so good. This overwhelming feeling of happiness came over me, and I cant help remembering that night.
