Preemptive strikes.
Strange day: I showed up early this morning for an Academic Council meeting I didn't know had been cancelled. I also woke up with a sore throat and made a clinic appointment for the afternoon. The doctor said I have a cold/infection that will clear up in a few days, and I can treat with ibuprofen. (And those blobs of tar known as Fisherman's Friend.)
Every once and a while, the instinct to just stay in bed proves correct. But one can't know when it will be.
At least Egypt class was cool. King Tut, finally! And Stalin in the last 10 minutes. Stalin? Oh yes. He used Egyptianizing motifs, eh? Like the sun and airplanes and canals. We have to read an article about this despite the prof stating that it's "far-fetched" and simply for our "general interest." Suspicious at best.
