*g* My Kronos is a cat. So I've a fair amount of feline sympathy.
But this is my lupine. Who also doesn't bite unless we want to, or someone else does. Kronos!Kitty on the other hand, has a habit of pouncing people and claiming them. All in the nicest possible way, of course. *snigger*
Alas, my landlord won't let us have pets, and one of my housemates is allergic to dogs anyway, and scared even of cats, so I'd have to force her sweet talk her, when we get another place.

Sorry about the landlord not allowing pets and it's a shame one of your housemates is scared of cats and allergic to dogs. I can't imagine not having my girls around. This is the other queen of the roost - from her younger days.
El has said she will let me have a cat. Although I might ease her in gently with something smaller. Depends. At least I have friends with pets, and I can pet them when I visit.
