TV stars circling the town....and good will abounds...

So last night we had a guy come into wally world asking everyone who would listen if they had met/seen/talked to Ben Stein. Apparently, he moved up here from Utah, just to meet him. He wants Ben to publish his 5 books, and knows ben wants to meet him. I think he's just a crazed stalker, he walked from CDA to see if he would be at our wal-mart and didn't leave until some time this morning when he called a bus.... It was interesting.....

Then today, there were quite a few of the production crew from Extreme Home Makeover wandering around wal-mart. I guess a few days ago, my brothers girlfriend saw Ty at one of the bars.

Lol, who knew our little town would be such a big draw?

Oh well, I think its cool. I hope the family they are building for gets a wonderful home, it should be, after all, they deserve it. They actually have a really sad story, and I'm glad that something as great as this is happening to them. And you should see how many people are volunteering to help with building and stuff. then again it could just be to meet famous people or be on tv, but still.

I heard another sad story today too. A woman came in, she bought some groceries and some normal provisions, I thought she was moving into a new house or something. It turns out she was buying stuff for her parents, whose house had just burnt down that morning. Apparently the blaze was so bad, they couldn't identify anything, nothing was left. Fortunately, everyone was ok, no one was hurt, but still....I felt horrible.

And there is a church that is buying a few pallets of food for distribution. I couldn't believe how much they are buying. I was impressed. I don't do the whole church thing, I don't even like churches, or religions for that matter. But I was impressed by what they are doing. It made me smile to think they are going to be giving that all away, because I know how much people need it...it was awesome....

It was a good day.
