Updates on my Country

The Kingdom of The Tinks is a huge, socially progressive nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate population of 246 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. The average income tax rate is 79%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Retail, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.

Televangelists flaunt their expensive cars when they attend charity events, people who are terrified of needles are torn between their phobia and free health care, the controversial show 'Who Wants to be an Immigrant?' has become wildly popular, and billions of yens are being blown on orbital weapons development. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Tinks's national animal is the naked mole rat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the yen.
