I haven't updated this thing in almost 2 months. I guess that means things have been going good? I guess, since I typically use this to rant, vent, release angst & genuinely complain about everything. Honestly though, things have been going fine.
She looks like a mix between a gremlin & a grumpy old man. AKA she is adorable. Her name is Lola.
Besides that bundle of joy, it's been the same shit different day. Oh, well, I quit my job earlier this month. I finally have my weekends back, so that's nice. Also, whether it's due to the fact that I only have 1 technical job now or not, I am getting so boss at saving my money. Once I accepted that I did in fact blow through $1200 in graduation money in less than 4 months, I realized it was time to start saving my money. It's quite easy, actually. Except now, I am THAT much more bitter when I have to pay for my bills every month (which is now $500, as opposed to $400 the last time I updated).
So, like I mentioned, Shooter Jennings has become the new love of my life. I was unaware this bad boy even existed. Probably due to the fact that I am not that into Waylon - I just fancy his music every now & then. Shooter's music is just great, it really is. He's hit the nail on the head with just the right amount of rock n' roll & country mixed together. If anyone who is friends with me actually still reads my lame updates, I would check out his music. I've discovered Leroy Powell, too. He plays with & writes songs for Shooter. Leroy is amazing. I've been listening to nothing but them.
I started working out today. I bought one of Jillian Michael's work-out DVDs. Um. That bitch is a beast. The 5 minute warm-up had me exhausted, for christsake. I am totally out of shape though so that's probably why. That's definitely why. Anyway, I did the warm-up & then about 10 minutes or so of the work-out & decided to stop. I haven't worked out in so long & to jump right into an intense 40 minute work-out (with Jillian Michaels no less) is probably a dumb idea. So I just ran for about 45 minutes & did some abs. I don't know why I don't work out regularly. It makes me feel so good afterward. I am really going to try my hardest to stick with it for at least 2 weeks, because I've heard after 2 weeks it becomes a habit. I wish it would. I am clearly out of shape & could afford to be a bit thinner, not to mention healthier. We'll see, anyway.
Right now though it's 2:45am & I have to be up in exactly 5 hours to babysit. I don't know why I do this.
