Show Report: The Peddallers Cabaret - Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Toronto

We video taped this show, and came to the following conclusions:
Cyn: having a quick, focused, efficient sound check is important
Mandy: I think it's a bit like the bear advice: you don't have to run fast to get away from a bear, just faster than the guy you're with. Similarly, as long as your sound check runs faster than the other bands, you get to the bar and get to start to drink faster.
Cyn: when Roy is exhausted he plays really really fast
Mandy: I thought he just wanted the gig to be over and he was playing fast to get us the hells outta there.
Cyn: when Roy has had three beers, he plays really really fast
Mandy: there must be a point when the beer-to-speed starts hitting an inverse ratio. I shall have to keep applying beers to prove my scientific theory.
Cyn: put them together, and crikey - it's pretty amusing to try & keep up!
Mandy: it was like the bass playing version of the Keystone Kops. Hilariously high-speed hijinks...or something.
Cyn: short skirts are even shorter when the stage is high
Cyn: slit skirts are obscene when you're jumping around
Mandy: You say these like they are bad things. Again, I think you're a little confused about the point of rock and roll.
Cyn: it's always great going on right after a male striptease act
Mandy: nothing should go on after a male striptease act--they should have to stay prancing about in their gitch all evening...oh, you mean ~playing~ after the striptease, not putting on clothes. Nevermind...
Cyn: very drunk gay men love us
Cyn: very drunk everyone loves us
Mandy: we're adorable when the crowd is drunk--adrunkable...
Cyn: when people are dancing, we play better
Mandy: So true! It's easier to lay down the funky funky beats when there are dancing feets
Cyn: some people look incredibly confused until they clue in that we're mostly
comedy-rock
Mandy: You'd think that the hair would be a clue that we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Cyn: can we always play under a pink glitter pony?
Mandy: OMG! PONIES!!!
Cyn: Doug's tequila is laced with crack and hookers and diesel fuel and fishnets
Mandy: Hey! How come I didn't get any? Dang. I love the hooker-flavoured hooch. It makes the best cosmos...
