Something short(er)

So today was eventful.

I went into work to develop a little bit more toward "Coffee Master" (primary discernable perk to outsiders is the cool black apron) otherwise just a little more pride in my work.

I helped a co-worker feel a little more confident in her job learning to close the store (or least I hope she felt that way though she did seem happy I was there)

I went to Spin to see a drag show with my friend Mark. On the way there I found a $20 and an I-Phone that was dropped by the dog walker 200 feet in front of me and she was happy I returned it (and the money)

On Wednesday at Spin's dollar drink night a guy approached me and flirted and gave me his number saying I wasn't likely to call him. So tonight we texted about and he came to Spin. He apparently was so drunk on Wednesday he didn't remember me but thanked me for calling him anyway. He excused himself to go to the bathroom and never came back.

I was little miffed that I was getting ditched. Mark walked away to get a drink and ended up just going to a different part of the bar without saying anything. I walked over to him and hung out some more. Later he excused himself to go to the bathroom and a few minutes later I noticed he left the bathroom and went out the front with another friend we were there with. I figured he just went out for a smoke but more time passed so I walked the whole bar and checked outside and he was gone gone. No good bye. I called and left a voicemail and he texted back saying his ride left so he had to bail. I was kinda angry hurt that he didn't say good bye.

I walked home in the rain and left my umbrella closed so I could blow off some steam and cool down. The show was interesting though. Mark invited me to his drag performance next month. I thought about saying fuck it on account of how he left me hanging but figure why bother getting petty. This isn't going to mean anything in 5 years, why let it mean something now.

I peeled off my wet clothes, had some bad tex-mex and watched Harvey Birdman reruns before writing the long stream of consciousness below.

Clean slate, clean blog, and tomorrow is another day...
