While our names may be the same, I am not the blond idiot bouncing around. Do be careful with your generalizations.

[Private to the Wardens]

I'm sure none of you has gone as far as to inquire about what exactly has happened. And I wouldn't like for a warm blanket to be thrown on my older self. Not when he is to be blamed for all of it ( Read more... )

Everyone knows what happened. It's not as if I kept it from them.

So the outcome neatly explains the entire motivation, in a human's eyes? Since when has even your species been so closed-minded?

Motivation doesn't matter as far as this is concerned. You're a Warden, and you tried to kill someone. It wasn't self-defense, because he was restrained and unable to physically threaten you. So not only was the attempt unwarranted, it was also against someone who couldn't even defend themselves.

You're supposed to be better than that.

Are you really so incapable of grasping that this is not such a straightforward affair as that? This is not between Warden and prisoner as much as it was between me and myself.

If you should ever find yourself in the most unenviable position, somehow, of being confronted with a possible future incarnation of yourself so entirely disagreeable to you as mine is to me, let me assure you, there are worse threats to one than immediate physical tokens such as punching and hitting. You wouldn't even begin to understand the significance of what he said, or what was really going on in that room.... all you see is Warden and prisoner.
