Well, along with today being a veeeeeeeeeery long working day, its made me think a lot.
Woke up at 6:30 and was at work for 7:30. Did daycare till 8:45, then camp started. Not a bad day. Bout 16 kids. I really appreciate the fact that the people I work with *kick ass.* Ashley, my coadvisor, helps out so much, carries more than her own weight, and has a great sense of humor. The kids weren't bad today either.
So after camp ended (@ 4:45) I ran out, bought a Diet Coke, and then went BACK to the Y to help set up for the Camp Carnival. Me and Ashley helped/volunteered for (cause we didn't get paid, but it was pretty much manditory) the obstacle course, which was this large inflatable climbing-bouncy thing. Made sure the kids didn't kill themselves for about three and a half hours, then helped clean up and then I escaped!
Again, about my coworkers. Yeah, besides them being a pretty cool bunch (specifically, theres Dorie (I think thats spelled right...), Mike, Erin, Tyler, Nikki, Dave (who graduated from West!). There are also quite a few good lookin people.... most of them work with the younger kids.
And most of them, im pretty sure, think im twenty-something. I might be the youngest councilor this summer.
So besides camp kicking butt, Ive been thinking about parents, kids, and getting older. Its wierd stuff - like thinking "who will be the first of my friends to get married / get pregnant / have kids?" Its really wierd.
Btw, where the heck are my homies Hole, JP and Frankizzle??
