Riza stopped the car, looking through the windshield at the vicinity, squinting. It was near midnight. The area was near where they had been stationed during the uprising.
"I think this might be the right place," she said, opening the door and getting out. There was no gateway in sight, but she hadn't seen it until she walked right through it and into the Nexus before.
"It's not something visible, it's a field of some sort, energy field. We walked right into it," Riza explained, not daring to look back at Grand as she moved forward, cautious and expecting a bullet to the back at any minute.
