Title: Endlessly
Pairing: Adrian Pasdar/Milo Ventimiglia
Length: 240
Genre: drabble, song!fic
Warning: light angst
Rating: PG
Summary: There's a part of me you'll never know.
Disclaimer: The truth? Haven't seen it around here for a while.
A/N: So, I'm in the process of writing about 4 different Pinto stories, dabbling in some Pineless Quinto, playing around with Eric a little more, and Karl too, and what happens? I come home thinking at least one of those stories will get finished...but no. I write up a little Adrian/Milo instead. Figures.
It's very short, and it's falling in suit with the past few stories I've written. Meaning it was written up very quickly, and for some reason I guess I feel the need to immediately post every fic the moment I finish it, regardless of its quality or worth. Hopefully someone will warn me if it starts to become a problem.
*ahem*
Anyway! On with the show!
This is a drabble inspired by the song
"Endlessly" by Muse.
Comments are love ;)
Milo regarded Adrian sitting beside him; watched him as he ran a hand through his hair, and tapped the steering wheel lightly in time with the song on the radio. His gaze found its way to Milo after a couple of seconds, and he smiled.
Milo just gazed back in silence. There’s a part of me you’ll never know.
“What.” Adrian’s smile faltered. He was confused, and it showed. His eyebrows drew together, and those wrinkles he vehemently denied existed creased his forehead. Milo felt the sudden urge to laugh. Confusion suited Adrian.
Adrian chuckled softly, and his smile reappeared, “What, Mi?”
Milo sighed. He was tired. Tired of Adrian’s cluelessness. Tired of pretending it was nothing-that this…all of it…meant nothing. What could he say? I love you? Yeah. Right. I love you, Adrian…hopelessly. I’m fucking hopelessly in love with you, you stupid, beautiful man. He’d scream it from the rooftops if he thought it would do any good. But it wouldn’t. He wouldn’t give this up. He wouldn’t give Adrian up. Not this. He loved Adrian…even if it was just like this…forever.
Milo pursed his lips, letting only the faint ghost of what he was feeling cross his face before he pushed it back down with a smile. “Nothing.”
Adrian shrugged, and they both turned their attention back to the road in front of them. The light turned green and Adrian pulled out into the intersection…the moment gone.
