The past few days I've been rediscovering my love for Hanson. Yes, they're still around making music. Brilliant music. Honestly, I'd throw out all your preconceived ideas about them and listen to their new stuff with a completely open mind. I mean, I never thought Hanson got the recognition they deserved, but they have such a completely different sound now. It's amazing stuff, really.
Their latest album, The Walk (definately their best yet) was recorded in Africa under their own record label, with an African children's choir.
Here are some of my favorites from that album:
Fire on the Mountain (Not the full song, but it's a good preview. Plus, little Zachary Hanson all growed up *sniff*)
Running Man Been There Before The Walk Hanson also happens to be a bitchin cover band:
Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers
Teach Your Children - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
Optimistic - Radiohead (is it weird that I like their version better than the original?)
Bit of trivia: my username comes from a Hanson song.
Broken Angel (the video is a cheesy slideshow someone made, don't watch it, just listen to it) from their album Underneath. I've been using it for years.
