A/N: Apparently when I'm mopey and depressed, I write Sam/Cas.  This isn't mopey or depressing, but...it's Sam and Cas, the children of Emo Land, so it's at least quiet and thoughtful and extremely random.  Just wanted to share it.

I don't feel like Dean can connect spiritually and emotionally with Cas the way Sam can.

If I were going to go beyond UST and friendly sex to an actual relationship and maybe even Love between Cas and one of the Winchesters, I would have to go with Sam. Dean would be good for affection and sex and maybe even caring, when his head isn't up his ass, but he'd never go any deeper than that. He wouldn't be able to. I think part of it is that no matter what, he could never love anyone like he loves Sam. And, while Sam LOVES Dean, he definitely can love other people as much as Dean. He certainly loved Jess at least as much. And it's not like he doesn't care about Dean as much as Dean cares about him, there's just more room in Sam's heart than there is in Dean's, you know? At least that's how it feels to me. So, Sam would be the one to fall for Cas and be with Cas, which Dean never could do cause he can't fit him into his heart. Not past the out layers anyway.

I'm so bad at consistently reading my friends' fics when they post them, but I really try my best to read all yours since I adore you most of all! ;-) hehe! I'm glad you shared this. It was really sweet. <3
