Tear me down...again: another public beta free-for-all
I did this once before, but I'm going to try it again. My writing has changed a lot, and I've written a lot more since I last tried this, so let's see what happens.
What I want from you is to critique my writing. It doesn't have to be detailed or in-depth. If you haven't read any of my writing since July of last year but there was something that really crapped on your cracker in that story, then I want to know. It can be an obscure sentence from something you remembered from forever ago, but didn't want to tell me, or forgot to, or it can be from something I've written recently that you think could have been done differently. Now's your chance.
I've been sort of discouraged about my writing lately, and I just really need to know what I'm doing right, what I'm doing wrong, what you love about my writing, what you hate, etc. This is a little self-indulgent, but I'm not looking for a love-fest of my writing, here. I want you to be honest. I mean, I'd love to hear what you like about my writing, but I'm more interested in a critical opinion.
I'm leaving this post unlocked so anonymous posting is on. You can beat me down guilt-free :)
