Havoc -- Bruce Greenwood/Eric Bana -- R I wrote this play last October. Really? That long ago? Holy crap. Okay, so this author's note is wicked late, but whatev. I got a fun little tid-bit to share. Okay, so maybe not "fun," but more random and completely useless. Just something I never shared the first time around, and because I really do love this fic a lot (for it being my own writing), I wanted to share it now. A year later.
This fic/play was heavily influenced by the song
"Decode," by Paramore. I mean, heavily. influenced. I'm not a fan of Paramore, and this just happens to be the only song of theirs I like, but I listened to it on repeat for the duration of the fic-writing process. However long that took. I don't know.
pikasafire can probably tell you. It was long enough, that's for sure. But I listened to it like mad while writing, and hopefully some of that came through in the fic. The weird thing is though, I didn't intentionally pick this song out. I started writing, and then while listening to the Twilight soundtrack one day (yes, they're good soundtracks, okay? back off) I realized that the lyrics fit the story in my brain so perfectly, I just couldn't stop listening to it. I thought it was fate or something. idk. The lyrics were the inspiration for the story. Bottom line. Just...listen to them.
You know, this will probably always be one of my favorite stories. Don't know why. But it is. Just sort of proud of it, I guess. Hey, it was the first play I'd ever written, so...there's that *shrug*.
Now. How does one gracefully stop blathering on about her own writing....Oh. Like--like this, you mean? Yeah? Okay, then *shrug* :-/ .........
