Random fanmix meme
A while ago devilsduplicity tagged me in one of those ipod shuffle drabble memes, and honest to God I tried to do it. I really really did. But stuff like that is literally impossible for me to do. My brain just doesn’t churn stuff out that way. Which sucks, because I see people doing those all the time, and I've always wanted to, but I just can't. I’ve filled a few prompts in my day, but those were crazy-lucky and random enough to have worked themselves out.
SO, I will...not do that one, and go with one stolen from babykid528.
1. Pick your #1 fandom obsession of the moment.
2. Put your MP3 player of choice on shuffle.
3. Write down the first ten songs that come up.
4. Prove that each song can be related to your obsession by whatever means you feel necessary. Convince us that it's about your fandom

I was going to make this just a generic SPN kind of thing. You know, put a different pairing or character with each song, but then I got to listening to the songs, and realized they are each unequivocally Dean/Cas. Without a doubt. I mean, some of them are sort of cracky, and I’d never actually make this a complete Dean/Cas fanmix, but I gotta say, my ipod subconsciously digs the Destiel.
So without further ado...
1. Telephone - Lady Gaga
Because Dean likes to party, and Cas has a...love/hate relationship with the telephone. *shrugs* I don’t know. Just go with it.

Honestly, this one just reminded me of Cas. I have no idea what the lyrics mean, but it feels like Cas. That ethereal weirdness, sort of sad, full of wonder. You know. Cas.

3. Split Needles - The Shins
And this one screams Dean. Just listen to the lyrics.
4. Meadowlarks - Fleet Foxes
Cas’s song to Dean. Soft, and poetic, and very Castiel.
5. Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin
Okay, so the lyrics of this one don’t fit either one of them, but it’s Zeppelin, and Dean would totally make a move on Cas in the Impala with this song playing. Yes? Yes. Or you know, if anything it’s good road music. Maybe Dean’s introducing Cas to the glorious wonders of Led Zeppelin (while Sammy sits in the passenger seat and rolls his eyes, but secretly loves every minute of it).
6. Angel - Massive Attack
Please. If this song doesn’t scream sexytimes with Dean’n’Cas, I don’t know what does.
7. If Not For You - Bob Dylan
A schmoopy little love song. I don't really do schmoop with these two--at least not in the "relationship" sense--but hey, what can I say? A little Dylan will make me reconsider just about anything.

That’s not the exact version I was listening to, but youtube apparently hates Bob Dylan. Or Dylan hates youtube, idk, but his stuff isn’t on there.
8. (I’ve Got) Beginner’s Luck - Fred Astaire
If SPN were a 1930’s musical, this is the song that Dean and Cas would sing together. And yeah, since I’m directing this little musical, we’re turning it into a duet. Or maybe Cas would be Ginger Rogers and just sit there looking pretty while Dean sings it to him. Either way, it works for them.
9. Mad Season - Matchbox 20
This one is actually interesting. The video is from the VH1 Storytellers episode with MB20, and the little intro Rob gives before the song is pretty indicative of Dean and Cas. At least, my brain made that connection, anyway *shrugs*.
We’ll call this Dean’s song to Cas.
10. In the House-In a Heartbeat - John Murphy (28 Days Later soundtrack)
And what’s Destiel without a little angst. This sounds like them, doesn’t it? Angry and sad and intense? Yeah. Yeah, I can dig it.
