The definitive definitive: a SPN rec-post
I've been wanting to do a rec-post for a while now. I've compiled all of my very favorites in specific categories/pairings. I'm avoiding reccing any Dean/Cas-centric fics (though that pairing shows up in a lot of them) in favor of shining some light on more obscure pairings and characters.
This will be an on-going rec-post, updated on a semi-whenever I feel like it basis, because obscure pairings/characters need love too!
So, without further ado, let's rock this bitch:

Sam/Castiel
Climbing Up the Walls -- orbiting_saturn -- NC-17
This is a four-part fic that starts innocently enough as a sex-pollen fic, then quickly devolves into a hot and heavy relationship between Sam and Cas, and ends in, I'm telling you, the most heartbreaking, painful, bittersweet, perfect way possible. Just...read it. Okay? It is, as of now, for me, the definitive Sam/Cas fic. This author sort of owns this pairing, as far as I'm concerned.
Adam Milligan
Lift Me Up -- morkhan -- PG-13
When Adam returns from Hell, he is broken. But when his brothers try to put him back together, they discover many pieces that are missing--and some pieces that are entirely new.
If you like Adam, even a little bit, you have to read this story. This author has a such a great Adam voice, and does a fantastic job giving him a relationship with Sam and Dean that we never got the chance to see in the show. There's a little twist to it that you'll have to read the fic to find out, but trust me, it'll be worth it.
The author is in the process of posting a sequel, called Out of Ashes. It's a WIP, but so worth keeping up on. Every once in a while, a WIP will grab me enough to read it before it's 100% finished, and this is definitely one of them. I can't post the summary because it's somewhat (or a lot) spoilery, but if you read the first fic, you'll want to read this one.
Chuck
The Tribulation of Chuck -- maskedfangirl -- PG-13
Chuck, Cas/Dean, Sam, Missouri Mosely, Lucifer, Crowley, Jesus...etc.
This fic *sigh*. It's another WIP, so it's incredibly frustrating to have to wait around for the next chapter, but ohmygawd I can't even get over how insanely good this fic is. I gave you the character/pairing list instead of an actual summary, because for one it was easier, considering, and two, the character list should be enough to get you to read the story. IT HAS FREAKING JESUS!
The fic is from Chuck's POV (done brilliantly, might I add). Chuck and Cas are BFF. Chuck and Jesus are adorable and awesome and cuddly together. And seriously guys you just have to read this story. You have to. Do it for me? Please?

Antichrist Picks the Music, Babysitter Shuts His Cakehole -- ladytelemachus -- PG-13
How it might have gone if Jesse chose differently.
You all remember Jesse, right? That cute little kid from 5.06, that was taken away from us way too soon? This fic gives us a funny and sweet-as-pie alternative to what actually happened. I wish this is how it had really gone in the show, alas, this fandom is ripe with disappointments, so all we can do is rely on our imaginations to fill in the holes *sigh*.
Please please leave the authors feedback if you like their stuff. They deserve it.
