(no subject)
Okay, just a quick note. I'm back in Finland, unfortunately, could have stayed away a while longer. The sun shone every day from a clear blue sky. Never had that before for a whole week. Rented snowboards on thursday, skied the other days. Third time on a snowboard, got down a red slope 4 times, but ended up with very bruised knees and butt, plus a headache since I wacked my head on the slope on the last run down. Need a helmet and knee protection!!
Good news: Gib can stay at the stable I'm at a while longer. He has to move to the outside stable, but I think he'll actually like it better there, more to look at. Like I said, that woman loves all the horses she takes care of, no matter what she thinks of the owners. And I almost love her for that. Eventually I'm moving to Lotta's stable, I told her that. We talked for a while and I think she finally sees I want to move because of what I'm looking for, not because of her. A bonding moment.
An Iranian postdoc moved here in October. A really sweet shy girl. Heard today she was forced to go home to get married. So that was the end of her career.
As for me, still not done with my thesis. Write again when it is.
